I still say that megaevos while a nice attempt at bringing old pokemon into viability were a mistake. They brought too much focus onto a very small amount of pokemon to build your team around

then there was the spam dragons & steel types meta cancer that required adding the Fairy type to even fix

Pokemon *Bank* was more fun than Pokemon Sun

That was always an issue with those types being overpowered. It was an inevitability that as they added more every game it would be a problem

eh, the only problematic dragons prior to gen 5 were Garchomp & Salamance

and Salamance only became problematic once he got access to better moves in the Heart Gold Soul Silver meta
