I mean, I believe lesbians hit each other (nearly) as much as men hit their wives, with the data I've seen the split between men and women initiating domestic abuse the ratio is only 60/40 leaning towards men, and lesbians are far from "usual women"

but like... IMO correlation does not imply causation and we already know the split in the general population is like 60/40 men/women initiating domestic violence against their partner. Worrying about lesbians being violent as fuck and gays being extremely non-violent doesn't seem really meaningful, since both lesbians and gays are such a tiny margin of our society seen as a whole

i have heard statements that some research suggests women are actually slightly more violent than men when ti comes to domestic deputes, which would logically follow that lesbian couples would end up over-represented. But i find that research potentially shaky
