i consider that rendition of that song proof against the idea of 'cultural appropriation'.. its probably one of the most beautiful versions of Bachs ""Jesus bleibet meine Freude" and it was used for aesthetic and story telling purposes only (more or less, so far as i can tell, but with no disrespect to it)
i often argue satire is a better means of conveying proper emotion then saying said emotions, but its not limited to that, when people dearly want and need to express ideas outside their own culture and pay homage to it its often more beautiful then same ideals inside the culture, with strict extceptions of excellence from within but all the same
