Land is probs the most interesting of them all
@Skellington you read that intro i gave you on him
Land can't write for shit
you get use to the style @Pseudo-Analysist
but he is bad
Land has interesting ideas
@Pseudo-Analysist idk. his clear pill stuff seems very, idk postmodern.
@Bunyip yes
@Skellington does it?
in what way
If Land is correct we are very, very fucked
postmodernism is truth agnostic and focused more on power structures and narratives
^
and thats what his clear pill stuff was about
If any neo-reactionary is right, we're f*ck
@Techpriest of house Roundeye why does the government have to be involved in society, why can't the people (assuming they are a white moral people) dictate the social order
i'd have to reread the clear pill but it never seems like he was doing that imo
@Skellington might as well call Plato a post-modernist
I guess the Randians were right
well whats the right definition then
Postmodernism is better then modernism, caus there is a room from which we can grow in postmodernism that isn't there in modernism
Well anyways guys Iām going to bed good night
i think i might have an idea of what it is in my head
@Techpriest of house Roundeye or the church
night
night
and its difficult because it encompasses alot of stuff
A popular conception of the history of philosophy is that pre-modernism started with metaphysics to justify epistemology, ethics and aesthics, modernism started with epistemology to justify metaphysics but failed, and post-modernism relied on aesthics to justify ethics and removed metaphysics.
Hmmm
postmodernism is a broad church to say the least, a central tenant is the breakdown of universal metanarratives(something true in all time and place) in exchange for localised theories within time and place
I don't like giving post-modernism full credit on ideas of social manipulation. At that point all power analysis is post-modernist
Your looking at it the wrong way. Its not that government needs to be anything. Its that people will make a government regardless of what you do and governments are manifestations of peoples needs in one way or another. In order to maintain the health of a people or to enforce a proper society, the governement should build up and maintain that society. In this way the government and the people are not really seperate entities but cooperational. The government is the mechanism by which smaller more natural groups come together under one umbrella out of mutual need. Its the difference between community and nation
the basic bitch "there is no truth" is in no way created by postmodernism
Maybe we should move this out of <#668910806598942730> chat

Lol
