declaring that you give people these rights (that they already have regardless of what government thinks) doesnt automatically make people find them valuable
Absolutely not.
Also, if you pay particular attention to your bill of rights
the government isn't granting you rights
i feel like this has basically been tried and failed
Anarchy has been tried, and it turned into Ur.
I'd rather not start over, thank you.
well anarcho-primitivism has been tried
and stayed in place for 500 000 years
a success maybe? i dunno
No. Anarchy was the natural starting point.
It wasn't 'tried', no more than you flip a switch to turn the darkness on.
The first state acknowledged property and penalty for depriving one of that property.
the state just turned into a popular property defense agency, except it doesnt really respect it since you dont get to be sovereign on your land
btw, the penalty for burglary was swift death.
And you don't think corporations would do the same thing?
if they did, they would be a de facto government
mmmhmm
We've changed the terms of service, by the way.
You can cancel at any time, but your property is forfeit.
but the difference between a population that supports and believes in it, and a population that rejects it because they equate it with black slavery, it makes quite a big difference
the corporation/government would now have the population as its enemies rather than supporters
They might even have a revolution, eventually, to control that power.
and distribute it to the people under it.
not if they think doing that is immoral
actually i dunno what you mean by control and distribute power
ruling power depends on the willingness to obey, ruling power is based on obedience

I know there were a couple calling themselves that
can't recall names
alright
I admire your endurance though
lol thanks
I'll try this again.
I've thought it through a bit.
Alright, so you've got Ancap society.
Within this Ancap society, a security force opens up. One of the benefits of this security force is, let's say, a wall around the outermost properties.
They've also got infrastructure systems bundled in with their service.
So, they are so successful, they wind up getting some non-contiguous corporate colonies built up in addition to their own.
