an unfortunate necessity brought on by a bunch of racist

2018-09-12 01:29:52 UTC

we were going in a good direction 10 or so years ago

2018-09-12 01:30:00 UTC

we went way backwards in the last like 4

2018-09-12 01:30:55 UTC

i remember when token characters were racist

2018-09-12 01:31:02 UTC

now its racist not to have token characters

2018-09-12 01:32:40 UTC

identitarianism is a method of power politics. in the past it was used by the callous and powerful to opress the weak, now its used by the weak and nihilistic to take power from the powerful and stupid

2018-09-12 01:32:55 UTC

you always had a concept of "black culture" or "italian culture" or "mexican culture". Don't know, probably seems fine with you, but as a foreigner, it disturbs me greatly and most mono-ethnical countries see it as mean to say the least

2018-09-12 01:34:22 UTC

people have a hard time getting over race

2018-09-12 01:34:50 UTC

im not sure its nessicary to do so, but if you dont it becomes imposible to be multiethnic

2018-09-12 01:36:01 UTC

at a young age people know race, then even when you grow to try and ignore race theres the cliff face delimma. a black man and a white man hanging from a cliff, who do you save?

2018-09-12 01:36:16 UTC

interesting that you see not forcing immigrates to entirely erase their history to be considered American as "racist"

2018-09-12 01:36:37 UTC

i think there is too much focus on the differences and not enough on what should be the unifying pieces and what doesn't matter

2018-09-12 01:36:39 UTC

does nosoul think that?

2018-09-12 01:37:08 UTC

i dont remember him saything that

2018-09-12 01:37:48 UTC

i mean, if you don't have a concept for it, it means you can't have it. if you have something, generally you give it a name

2018-09-12 01:38:05 UTC

no, all I'm saying if somebody wants to be an American, that's what one is. All I said is that I find it racist to distinguish between Americans ethnicly.

2018-09-12 01:38:28 UTC

what does the word racist mean?

2018-09-12 01:38:30 UTC

well i agree then, we focus too much on the differences

2018-09-12 01:39:19 UTC

ironically one of my favorite comedians has a joke he had to go the middle east to finally be called american and not Latino

2018-09-12 01:39:37 UTC

can i not be seen?

2018-09-12 01:40:00 UTC

im typing but it seems like no ones reacting to what im saying

2018-09-12 01:40:02 UTC

you need to tag/address the person you're asking Arch

2018-09-12 01:40:18 UTC

no one else here is tag/addressing people

2018-09-12 01:40:32 UTC

I am

2018-09-12 01:40:45 UTC

the last time you tagged someone was an hour ago

2018-09-12 01:40:48 UTC

what do you mean? i responded to your previous comment, not the word racist one because i was responding to nosoul

2018-09-12 01:40:54 UTC

to someone not even here

2018-09-12 01:41:09 UTC

I addressed you 4 lines ago

2018-09-12 01:41:19 UTC

Arch is going insane

2018-09-12 01:41:32 UTC

anyway, what does the word racist mean?

2018-09-12 01:41:46 UTC

are you asking me or Granade?

2018-09-12 01:41:51 UTC

im asking anyone

2018-09-12 01:41:51 UTC

yes, i think

2018-09-12 01:42:18 UTC

racist
ˈreɪsɪst/
noun
noun: racist; plural noun: racists

1.
a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another.

2018-09-12 01:43:37 UTC

i beleive racial superiority covers the latter of that defintion but i agree with that definition. though webster has a different interpriation https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/racism

2018-09-12 01:44:18 UTC

so how is it racist to think that people joining your country need to conform to your values?

2018-09-12 01:44:32 UTC

The context I used racist as was the prejudice bit

2018-09-12 01:47:17 UTC

if racism is to show or feel discrimination or prejudice against people of other races (or lets expand that to ethnicitys to cover just a general difference for outsiders (though that could be consitered xenophobia too)) how is expecting other people living within your country regardless of where they come from to meet the standards of values that you want the people you live with to express?

2018-09-12 01:49:46 UTC

Arch, you distinguish between americans on the basis of skin color. This is all I meant. I find it grose. Most folks I'm friends with that come from a mono-ethnical state find it grose. We have people of color here and there and we don't give a rat's ass about it. I don't know how to make my point any clearer

2018-09-12 01:53:21 UTC

unfortunately we dont own that anymore

2018-09-12 01:54:05 UTC

i don't think most people really give a rats ass about it in America
