2018-09-12 01:40:18 UTC

no one else here is tag/addressing people

2018-09-12 01:40:32 UTC

2018-09-12 01:40:45 UTC

2018-09-12 01:40:48 UTC

Arch is going insane

2018-09-12 01:41:32 UTC

anyway, what does the word racist mean?

2018-09-12 01:41:46 UTC

are you asking me or Granade?

2018-09-12 01:41:51 UTC

im asking anyone

2018-09-12 01:41:51 UTC

yes, i think

2018-09-12 01:42:18 UTC

racist
ˈreɪsɪst/
noun
noun: racist; plural noun: racists

1.
a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another.

2018-09-12 01:43:37 UTC

i beleive racial superiority covers the latter of that defintion but i agree with that definition. though webster has a different interpriation https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/racism

2018-09-12 01:44:18 UTC

so how is it racist to think that people joining your country need to conform to your values?

2018-09-12 01:44:32 UTC

The context I used racist as was the prejudice bit

2018-09-12 01:47:17 UTC

if racism is to show or feel discrimination or prejudice against people of other races (or lets expand that to ethnicitys to cover just a general difference for outsiders (though that could be consitered xenophobia too)) how is expecting other people living within your country regardless of where they come from to meet the standards of values that you want the people you live with to express?

2018-09-12 01:49:46 UTC

Arch, you distinguish between americans on the basis of skin color. This is all I meant. I find it grose. Most folks I'm friends with that come from a mono-ethnical state find it grose. We have people of color here and there and we don't give a rat's ass about it. I don't know how to make my point any clearer

2018-09-12 01:53:21 UTC

unfortunately we dont own that anymore

2018-09-12 01:54:05 UTC

i don't think most people really give a rats ass about it in America

2018-09-12 01:54:14 UTC

ironically, the left also calls that racist

2018-09-12 01:54:21 UTC

"color-blind is racist"

2018-09-12 01:55:11 UTC

you have quotas. The fact one can be viewed as a diversity hire is incredibly mean. That's all I'm saying.

2018-09-12 01:55:21 UTC

it is

2018-09-12 01:55:45 UTC

and its being lead by the faction who started the KKK

2018-09-12 01:55:46 UTC

and yet there are no protests against it.

2018-09-12 01:55:56 UTC

yeah, there are

2018-09-12 01:56:19 UTC

they just get fired. Have you not heard about James Damore?

2018-09-12 01:56:49 UTC

ofc I have. You don't have massive protests against it, that's my point

2018-09-12 01:57:22 UTC

distinguishing people via skin color is an ancient practice every human culture who has existed practiced at one point. america did, europe did (moors, jews, gypsies), so on and so forth. perhaps your monoethnic country has gotten past that nosoul but here in the united states its no longer in anyones hands to control that. we have what you call black culture and mexican culture, and italian, chinese, japanese, etc, no longer because AMERICA wants to describe people as being seporate from americans. but because of an evolution of distinguishing between skin colors now skin color and ethnic background is the method in which americans seporate themselves from being american

2018-09-12 01:58:19 UTC

do people in North Korea have massive protests against Kim?

2018-09-12 01:58:39 UTC

rather extreme example and hyperbolic

2018-09-12 01:58:46 UTC

well they are not really in the land of the free now are they Granade 😉

2018-09-12 01:59:33 UTC

i mean, people are lazy. of course, rather than protest, we also have a habit of just building new things rather than destorying stuff

2018-09-12 01:59:43 UTC

which is apparently the American idea of a protest.

2018-09-12 01:59:59 UTC

idk why we have definitions for riot, we call any gathering of upset people a protest

2018-09-12 02:00:13 UTC

america cant protest being racist, it would be racist because it would only be white people protesting it

2018-09-12 02:00:36 UTC

we have patriot prayer and the proud boys
