Like abortion. A Christian will argue that you're murdering a child, a liberal would argue that a baby would bring undue suffering in themselves. That's a standoff. Both think the other perspective brings evil upon the other.

To believe Kavanaugh without an investigation is to not care about victims of rape. To believe Ford is to push guilt until innocence is proven.

The only things clear to me are that on surface, we have to presume good faith on both claims. Assuming one or the other is lying on base level is hypocrisy. Even Tim made his assessment after considering the circumstances.

He's still not calling Ford a lying bitch, but acknowledging the guilt of the political machine pushing the allegation

We need the right arguments.

That, and we need to actually MAKE the arguments.

A bunch of people tried to accuse Trump of raping them too. Trump didn't defeat them with superior arguments, he defeated them by winning regardless of them.

Rape allegations are to be taken seriously by the police and close friends or family. Not the court of public opinion.
