So I saw the interview Benjamin did with Bannon, and Bannon (roughly) said the average citizen is not responsible for the economic crisis in north Africa and the middle east.
But is that right? Aren't the people to blame for partaking in a predatory economic tactics that they benefit from?```
Can't Blame US for the bullshit going on in Africa....
Its mostly due to low IQ people there, that doesn't Think further than from 12 to lunch.

2018-10-11 11:35:45 UTC

What we should forbid is long term help. If there is a desaster that destroyed the food, OK.
But helping for Decades is a nono

2018-10-11 11:35:55 UTC

that caused the population explosion in Africa.

2018-10-11 11:36:02 UTC

They have to help themselves, not we them.

2018-10-11 13:47:17 UTC

I financially support 2 organizations there that focus on schools & internet

2018-10-11 17:40:15 UTC

They probably think that the US has a moral duty to improve the rest of the world since they are the world hegemon

2018-10-11 17:58:44 UTC

"White man's burden" essentially.

2018-10-11 17:59:16 UTC

The problem is, you can't hold the electorate responsible for what the government does when you only have two realistic options and both are extremely polarized and operating on vague promises and fearmongering.

2018-10-11 17:59:37 UTC

The real voters are the campaign donors. Normal people are victims too.

2018-10-11 18:23:56 UTC

What good is it to even help if you are not going to do it long term, i think it's the exact opposite, if you want to help be prepared to go all in, and see it trough to the end for as long as it takes, and it may well take generations, if you are not ready to do that then keep your nose out of other people's bussiness, going on an adventure for a few years in a third world country helps no one, either you are in or you are out, and if you are in you better damn well be ready to stick it trough to the end.

2018-10-11 19:07:48 UTC

Effectively what they want is for the US to colonize africa then shovel boatloads of money over to the locals

2018-10-11 19:08:08 UTC

Theres no way to win with intervention

2018-10-11 19:08:23 UTC

Attack them, defeat the dictator and leave you're abandoning the population

2018-10-11 19:08:32 UTC

Try to build a society and its cultural imperialism

2018-10-11 19:08:48 UTC

Stay for the 75 years it would take to gradually reshape the society and its literally imperialism

2018-10-11 19:09:35 UTC

When someone calls the US foreign policy imperialism they are out of valid criticisms

2018-10-11 19:09:49 UTC

everything is imperialism if its america

2018-10-11 19:09:55 UTC

even when we don't invade a place

2018-10-11 19:11:25 UTC

Provide foreign aid which the US retracts when the country turns against them?
Economic imperialism

2018-10-11 19:11:32 UTC

That's literally the only proven way to do it, it may not be nice but we know it works

2018-10-11 19:11:54 UTC

You must feed the country even as it turns against the hand that feeds and begins to devour it

2018-10-11 19:11:54 UTC

Imperialism i mean

2018-10-11 19:15:37 UTC

Or we could sit back and do nothing, order is unlikely to be born out of chaos, so those African countries are likely to stay under the chokehold of local warlords and tribal militias for a very, very long time

2018-10-11 19:22:26 UTC

No if we backed off it would come about much faster

2018-10-11 19:22:36 UTC

assuming everyone did at the same time and stayed out that is

2018-10-11 19:31:23 UTC

I doubt it, after all African and North American cultures remained in virtual stone age for millenia, people tend to stick to what they know unless there is an upheval of some sort, or they are forced to change their ways at the point of a gun, rarely

2018-10-11 19:31:37 UTC

if ever do they change peacefully

2018-10-11 19:32:03 UTC

in other word every change is inevitably going to be messy

2018-10-11 22:56:48 UTC

Adapt or die

Just saw Tim's video on the Amazon AI algorithm.

If you read between the lines in some of the Damore disclosures, Google did something similar too. In Google's case, they ran an algorithm to discover who did well at the company. What they found was that top middle schools (think Midwestern state schools) actually did best. They found that the top tier ivies and ilk (Stanford, Carnegie, etc.) tended to not perform as well. But these were inconvenient findings (since it tended to run against the diversity initiatives Google actually wanted) so they killed it all off.

The comment about wealth affecting school and affecting hiring shouldn't really affect gender balance to much. The top tier schools (like MIT) actually tend to do much better than the average school in gender balance in STEM. MIT in particular can just pick students it wants and play the affirmative action game without really losing quality.

Kanye West is universal embodied truth and love.
And love is the answer as we know.
Fucking Amazing.

2018-10-12 23:02:46 UTC

Allowing trans gendered people into opposite sex bathrooms is feeding their inability to cope and with such high suicide rates actually causes more self harm than any potential external harm.

2018-10-12 23:02:55 UTC

Change my mind :P

2018-10-12 23:07:53 UTC

Telling gender dysphoric people that they can be any gender they want is harmful and causes higher suicide rates. Change my mind too.

2018-10-12 23:09:53 UTC

LTBG...... Community abuses kids.
Change my mind.

2018-10-12 23:10:12 UTC

Shit we all agree with each other.

2018-10-12 23:11:07 UTC

Like, I do not wish harm upon any lgbt, and part of that not wishing harm is self induced harm and rewarding of attitudes and behaviors that cause harm.
