Social media has given the people an incredible amount of power. 2016 was the first year where a majority of the kids who grew up with social media were eligible to vote and look what happened. The most popular Republican candidate was a complete outsider and the Democrats had to cheat to prevent Bernie, an independent, from winning their primary.

To be honest, Trump was an outside to the party, but not to the people.

I mean, people knew him, he had alot of brand recognition.

Yep. Because everyone I knew in High School wanted Ron Paul, but most of us weren’t 18 until after the primaries ended so we couldn’t vote. He got super railroaded by the media, and smeared as a joke

The Dem’s did the exact same thing to Bernie in 2016 on a larger scale that the Republicans did to Ron Paul in 2012, only in 2016 it didn’t work

If the mainstream media were actually being honest in their criticisms of Trump we’d be hearing stories about how he’s carrying out Obama’s legacy as the Drone Ranger, or issues of the surveillance state infringing on our privacy, but no, instead they’d rather cry about his Twitter use and blame him for our current North Korean relations
