But I certainly understand in part where you are coming from, the 'women want equality until they have to fit the gender roles of a man and get a real job' idea is not uncommon. But, the underlying point I'm trying to get out is that the actions of few should not account for the many.
For example, the Klu Klux Klan touted the word of God, so did many slave owners in the early 19th Century. However, this does not mean that Christians are racist or pro-enslavement of black skinned people.
did you know that slavery is technically still legal?
there is a loophole in the 13th amendment
"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
Amendment yikes
Thats how the prison can force prisoners to work
So the prison is a shit hole and a fuck fest just like in Hollywood movies?
Based
Aren't we pushing for a prison reform?
Keep em in prison
Who's them?
Literally everyone that has committed a crime that warrants prison time
Oh yeah and the death penalty is immoral
To the tax payers that have to pay to keep those fools alive
A bullet to the head will do
Interesting.
Indeed
GG @ilovepb&j, you just advanced to level 1!
Venezuela is undergoing a coup right now
Based
Yeah
Totally based
For those who missed the Spanish Elections (176 needed for a majority):
PSOE - 123 seats
PP - 66 seats
Ciudadamos - 55 seats
Unidos Podemos - 42 seats
Vox - 24 seats
Independent and Regional Parties - 40 seats
Possible Left Wing Coalition (PSOE + Podemos) = 165 (short by 11 seats)
They're still capitalist though, so, are they truly left wing??
I mean Podemos is increadibly against banks and is talking about increasing welfare and shit
That is still capitalist
Podemos officially identify as "Democratic Socialists"
And the leader of Podemos is a proper Socialist
What do you define as Socialist??
I mean he's advocated for the Italian Communist Party, has endorced Jeremy Corbyn, he's named after the founder of the Spanish Socialist Worker's Party (PSOE) and used to be a part of the Communist Youth Union of Spain
Jeremy Corbyn is no socialist, and again what do you consider socialism??
Tbh, I've never really defined Socialism properly as I myself am for some left-wing policies (free healthcare, benifits to an extent, etc)
Socialism is worker owned means of production, the rate of payment also changes from a set wage to the labor theory of value.
Then what's CommunismM
So, you produce sponges for example, and each one is worth $10.00, so the basic like ridiculously simplified equation is 10x, so every x amount of sponges is worth 10 x in that situation.
Communism is communal control of the means of production. With no state, no class, and no need for money.
How would you achieve a stateless society?
Communism according to Socialists can only be acheived once we hit enormous surplus via automation
