yeah... but you have to competent enough and able to survive and sustain yourself in your selflessness
because most people who do that just die
or at least get so close to it that they grow bitter and shut themselves in
tell me, what is the point of survival?
depends on the resolution
we all die.
there is no stopping it
at the lowest i'd say sustenance and spread of genes
so why delay it?
stop the nihilism you twat
its not nihilism. its an honest question.
Also I just noticed this is the newsroom
it is a nihilistic question, figure it out yourself
we all die, this is a fact. Yet we try so hard to try and survive. Why?
because that's the only way you will accept the answer that does not kill you
everyone has a reason.
but if genes if a reason and you have children, the only way to keep your genes alive beyond your death, then being altruistic to those younger than you makes sense as their bodies will be better suited to keeping your children alive than yours. This only becomes more important the older you get.
you're on a good track there
also the right track to figure out why tribalism works the way it does
to a limit though
Altruism is only beneficial, if the people don't need it in the first place
Else they become dependent, and then can't survive without you
and since they dont need it in the first place for altruism to be beneficial, it doesnt work
that would depend on how you exhibit your altruism.
blindly doing anything is not, generally, logical.
and just handing out things for free without reason is blind altruism
( ( ( p a t h o l o g i c a l ) ) )
look it up
it's a thing
which definition you want me to follow?
this really isint the room for this discussion but my natural instinct is to help people. though it is a cost/benefit/familiarity/extremity analysis on my part
suggestion: "newsroom-commentary" as a room
i'd just say a general off-topic channel
Cuz half of these things aren't really news nor shitposting
nor fake 😉
ANOTHA ONE
another day, another shooting
that statement has been true since the 20's, maybe even before
since the first succesful gun prototype i'd say
wow 8 people dead in that texas shooting
at least
"An armed person walked into an art class at the school and began firing what looked like a shotgun, a witness told CNN affiliate KTRK."
CNN later today: Ban assault weapons
