So people start pulling their own weight themselves

The economy is booming because Trump convinced people it will go better
So people get more faith and spend more, which in turn gives companies more revenue
Which means they get more value, and the stock market improves
Which makes the economy boom

so him just convincing people, makes his statement a self fulfilling prophecy
