so you can't arrest media for that, and TR is media in this case.. so our first amendment should protect what he was doing
well in this case, not watch the media (for a year), talk to family (for a year), talk to colleagues (for a year). Since we are here, because some fuckwad (the person who should really be sent to jail) split this up across a year. What are the options?
also, this is in the UK
not supressing the media is not an option
again I know this
I'm talking about what would happen here and why I think it's wrong
i agree, this shit really wouldn't fly here
and also, that happens all the time in jury trials, jury sequesters
265 days for the OJ trial.
so there's your answer of what happens here
which one, his first or second?
first
the murder trial
I shouldn't say 265 days is the norm, but it has happened, and that's how it was dealt with, rightly or wrongly
What happens if someone on a jury breaks that? they kicked off the jury
?
yup
can be
or a mistrial
anyway, here, it would be jury sequester, not infringing on press rights...
they dont really sequester much anymore - its incredibly expensive.. they have to pay each juror not to mention all the people hired...
regardless of why the gag order was placed, it was placed (and gag orders happen here too)
there were rooms at the courthouse for that.. but appaarently its very rare
yeah it's rare
my case only lasted 3 days
each day it was like .. one hour then the judge is like, ok lets have a break everyone
usualy only high profile trials obviously
well, point being, its there. and if it covered the whole trail, not just parts, then technically they were not wrong to arrest him. not on legal grounds. And if he knew that, and since he knew this session was over, just waiting on the verdict, then they are also correct to say he was disturbing the peace.
again, "breachign the peace" is trumped up charge
meh we can disagree here
but he did say in his stream "harass this man, harass his family, etc"
is it? like i said, if he knew it was breaking the law and then tried to frame it as he had no idea and they were arresting him for nothing, also said that, then those are all intentionally provocative statements.
yup and setenced for 13 months in prison
in which he will probably not survive.
well, technically its because he did it again despite being told not to
now if you want to talk about the original sentencing, that might be BS, i can't tell you
also, have the actually sentenced him on that? or was that the threat and now they need to affirm the actual length of the sentence
you started that one to quick
