Oh you sure got me dude! What better way to respond to rational arguments than to just resort to insults!
Sentient...but just barely...
Thanks for validating my point
Lol I have no desire to take you seriously
I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings
But you're a joke
Let's say they did repeal the 19th, what do you think would happen politically?
Of course you don't. You don't take anyone seriously if they challange your close minded narrative
Geopolitically, we would become instant enemy of Europe, etc
no way the EUropean countries are going to stay as close to us as they are if we did that
we'd have to be all-in with the Sharia states for the most part, not the best place to be if things get serious
Which is ironic, because when you entered the other discussion I had just conceded that I was mistaken to the person I was talking to previously...
I don't care.
But that was a person, and not a bean/snail creature
If i see something i disagree with and find ridiculous, I will voice my opinion, and elaborate on why I believe what I believe, instead of instantly resorting to immature insults just because the person im talking to disagrees with me on mostly everything
@Sh0t You have good points, of course. Some of the many reasons this talk of women not voting or having the same rights is extremely silly.
Its not silly. he didn't talk about should they have those privileges, but talked about the history behind it, and what would happen if we rejected them those privileges
Which i concede, however just because the consequence of an action may be bad, doesn't mean that the action itself is bad
<:haha:583236087137435659>
"just because the consequence of an action may be bad, doesn't mean that the action itself is bad"
Or a bad action with a really good consequence
Martin luther king's speech
Good action, which resulted with him getting killed
I'd say it was a pretty bad action for him
Try again?
What? Not the getting killed part
The good action - him giving a speech about what he believes
Consequence of that action - People being enraged and killing him due to his stances
Lol the consequences that stem from an action are what makes the action "good" or "bad"
Whatever that means, anyways
No I dont agree
Actions are independent of their consequences. The essence of an action is independeent from the essence of a consequence which prevails due to that action
There are many examples of this
Martin luther king, Galileo, Jesus etc
You can say that the intent behind an action was "good" or "bad"
Bad things happen to good people.
But the goodness or badness of the action itself depends on the outcome
No it has nothing to do with intent. It has everything to do with other people reacting badly to good actions just because they disagree with those actions
Now you're complicating it with how people are reacting as well lol
No, that was literally the point of this conversation
Other countries reactions to our action of forbidding women to vote
I agree, I think it's a position to think about, because it is the reality for some countries currently. I think the MRAs and Stormcel types ignore the geopolitics though
