@Poppy Rider when your police don't have guns, you need like 8 officers for one knife wielding person. And still probably need to call in the special team with guns.

@Grenade123 I do not want our cops armed as normal uniform. You don't need a gun you just need to know that you are not going to get sued for smashing someone round to head.

Honestly in my experience the met cops were corteous and very professional ppl

The problem is they are understaffed

Stupid Yanks see that video of that bloke on the bike with a knife smashing the car window and say 'see, this is why you need guns.' completely missing the point that the bloke on the bike would of had a gun as well and just shot through the window.

@zutt yes, very good. Meanwhile 8 other people got stabbed because your force is over worked, you now have one more person who was just hell bent on killing people taking of tax payer money in a cell. And if I call the police they may not respond because of all the other knife wielding people.... Which could be like 4 taking up a whole police force. When a tazer and a gun limits that down to just 2 officers per incident. And the first officer to respond can at least contain the situation.

Also, dont they have grenades in Sweden?

I heard grenade attacks happen there as well

Although the level of gun training most us cops get is way too pathetic.
