venezuela still has a private sector larger than its public sector

2018-06-28 16:20:37 UTC

yeah but their production stinks, their main claim to wealth was due to oil

2018-06-28 16:20:45 UTC

mhm

2018-06-28 16:20:57 UTC

but its not that they have no companys

2018-06-28 16:21:09 UTC

true, but most companies are tainted by government control there

2018-06-28 16:22:05 UTC

personally i prefer regulation and emplyee interest as oppose to control

2018-06-28 16:22:42 UTC

regulation is what started that plummet in the first place, by allowing government to control those companies

2018-06-28 16:23:18 UTC

rather than allowing those companies control the government right?

2018-06-28 16:23:54 UTC

well given the results, i rather live in the latter than the former,

As the former we have seen

And the closest thing to the latter is the western world

2018-06-28 16:24:14 UTC

power is power, doesent matter who has it, if the government has it they have influince over your life, if the corporations have it then they have influince over your life

2018-06-28 16:25:06 UTC

agreed, but centralised power is more easily claimed than power thats all over the place

2018-06-28 16:25:09 UTC
2018-06-28 16:26:49 UTC

power all over the place when its all over the place in the marketplace basicly just creates a game of monopoly, everyone might be equel to begin with, but given enough time that power will centralize and it will centralize in a group not withholden to its people especially not in this globalistic era we live in

2018-06-28 16:27:26 UTC

you might actually need socialism to fight against globalism

2018-06-28 16:27:39 UTC

to be fair before regulation we had victorian workhouses in the UK

2018-06-28 16:27:57 UTC

nah, you need people to be aware,

If a company becomes rotten, people should actively just patron a competitor thats not rotten yet

2018-06-28 16:28:08 UTC

its like with youtube

2018-06-28 16:28:21 UTC

people should actively en-masse switch to alternatives,

But they won't

2018-06-28 16:28:25 UTC

what if it becomes rotten after it owns everything?

2018-06-28 16:28:34 UTC

so how is it the companies fault in the end, that people don't jump ship

2018-06-28 16:28:58 UTC

governments dont suck until after they have to much power, same things with bussiness

2018-06-28 16:29:13 UTC

yes, but you can't decide to not fund the government, you go to jail that way

2018-06-28 16:29:21 UTC

you CAN however say "no i'm not supporting this company"

2018-06-28 16:29:49 UTC

actually you choose not to fund the government by democracy

2018-06-28 16:29:52 UTC

If i say "im not paying taxes" i'll go to jail
If i say "I'm not paying my phone bill" I'll just get cut off from the phoneline

2018-06-28 16:30:26 UTC

If you can propose a government thats 0% taxing, i'll give your idea an ear

2018-06-28 16:30:31 UTC

well.. over here they send people to your home to collect whatever they can thats worth what you owe

2018-06-28 16:30:33 UTC

or where taxes are optional

2018-06-28 16:30:40 UTC

exactly

2018-06-28 16:30:59 UTC

the issue with government is that you can't say "no"
a company can't force you to pay them

2018-06-28 16:31:12 UTC

but dinnertime, so im afk

2018-06-28 16:31:46 UTC

Well, to some extent a company can force you to pay them in the form of repossession

2018-06-28 16:31:47 UTC

good luck saying no to google

2018-06-28 16:32:47 UTC

also if you choose not to buy stuff from that company that completely owns every business in your country good luck with that

2018-06-28 16:33:33 UTC

hell even if its just one of the 50 companys that owns everything in your country like here in the us it will just ask the government to give them your tax monay in a bail out

2018-06-28 16:33:37 UTC

You can do it, it just means you need to actually work for your living

2018-06-28 16:33:42 UTC

Hunt and farm

2018-06-28 16:35:53 UTC

thats not easy and doesent do great for your countrys economy which leads your gobberment to start to gain power through the corporations support and then start regulating the shit out of everything the public can do to resist the corporations while still going lax on the corporations

2018-06-28 16:36:11 UTC

That's what annoys me about people who say a job is a human right and someone should give them one. We didn't have "jobs" working for someone when we were small tribes. You worked to feed yourself. That is the entire point of having a job, put the effort into doing labor original used for hunting into something else you are maybe better at, and that person gives you something in return for that labor to buy food

2018-06-28 16:36:56 UTC

Of course it's not fucking easy, why do you think most people don't farm anymore? And the government is not good for the economy either. They don't make anything, and can't give anything.

2018-06-28 16:37:01 UTC

They can only destory.
