Not sure how accurate this is, but there's not much a priori reason to doubt Facebook is playing games either.
Ofc they are
And if zuc runs for president you are going to see some shit yet
I can say I know some social media types and they have a definite flavor to them and 'Fake News' is very much a hot area of research right now in the spaces where FB and Google operate.
Lol
Zucc won't run at this point. He's made too many enemies.
Might even be why he got hauled in front of Congress. Nip him early.
Well the Cambridge analytica scandal dmged him
But he could still run imo
Honestly they dont have anyone else who could stop bernie at this point
And i highly doubt dnc wants bernie to run
Bernie's out.
They could even try for the oprah meme
Also, interesting article for those who get concerned by Google and FB.

Just to spite him
Oprah said no
Old. But still troubling in a way.
Yeah google has massive power to rig
Thats why them behaving progressive is worriing
It's kind of really scary how much power they have.
And with all their investments into AI one day they could one day own the majority of the work force.
That's far too much power for one corporation to have.
They could do far more.
As it stands, Google and Facebook have more information on private citizens than anyone in the history of humanity.
Think about what has happened in police states and you can start to see the problem.
Google, Reddit, et al. Pushed Net Neutrality, but it would only have applied to the telecoms.
Ironic, then, that when discussing Net Neutrality it originally was applied heavily to them.
is when this started.
evil plans you say?
Not evil plans. Just exploiting their powers to make outcomes they consider morally correct.
Or happen to be beneficial.
Though come to think of it, Google no longer claims "don't be evil" as a motto...
My personal thought: Net Neutrality is going to backfire on the internet giants. It'll be applied to both them and the telecoms. They made a huge effort to convince everyone it was a good idea. And then they got everyone angry at them for unrelated issues.
So now everything is on the table. They (Reddit in particular) are hounding the telecoms. But this is making the infrastructure to regulate massive social networks by extension.
The question is when and who will be in power when it does. I will predict we see new regulations before 2020. Balance of power will heavily dictate the terms.
That regulations become a backdoor for the government to manipulate and control the populace is probably inevitable. We are between Scylla and Charybdis on this issue.
Also, regulations might very possibly create an economic downturn.
There's alot of hype and money in the sector and poorly designed regulations could do alot to cut off growth and burst the bubble.
is there any other type of regulations?
sporting ring regulations
i mean aside from poorly designed ones
then no?
