Most people aren't confrontational. And most experience cognative dissonance with this stuff. Just look at what happens to some people on Reddit with respect to these things.

(1) I'm curious to hear how so. I heard Germany cities were waging war on traffic signals for being discriminatory.

The general populace in germany is moving more to the right/center currently. Has been since the mid 2000s, albeit slowly.

I'd want to hear more than "moving to the right/center" to be convinced. Is there some kind of organized pushback? Is there a sign that they don't have influence?

Don‘t have influence would be wrong. But it‘s not nearly as prevalent as it was in the 90s/early 2000s or as it is in the us.

And the activists ARE well organized.

One problem they face in germany is for example their alliance with islam. Because islam is not really friendly to a certain other religion that because of historical reasons has a lot more pull and can quite easily push back.

Another thing to consider is that half the country lived under soviet rule.

And the tactics currently used by social justice people are very reminiscent of blockwart and stasi mentality.
