I think thats a symptom of the "lack" of religion

Well, heres the thing

they took it away, so people have no meaning/purpose so they find one tahts given "Lets bee nice under the state"

What if my relligion prides itself on never doing a certain action

While people can have morals without relligion, id argue relligion makes it easier to give people a set of morals to follow

religion gave people a purpose and structure "a list of do's and don'ts"

That was gone and people became free and chaotic, which left them unhappy and unfulfilled

and so they try to fill that void with a new community

cuz lets face it, Religion does bring people together

Community, Purpose and Structure are sort of the 3 gifts religion gives a person

And thats why a commie state will remove that

Want that gone.

With that gone, the state now dictates the people

Religion can be formulated as:
- The community is your fellow church-goers
- The purpose is to serve god
- The structure is the life lessons from the bible

A commie state seeks to replace it

-The community is the state and its people
-The purpose is serving the state
-The structure is the Law of the state

Which is why I disagree with Lucian on 7. there are nations built on relligion out there, hell in the US the politicians swear on the bible, while that alone may be only symbolic in nature, christianity is still a very strong influence in America

Religion is needed for people who can't survive on their own mind

Religion wasn't really removed, They just replaced God

I dont feel like its right to call relligious people dependent.

It does give people a purpose to move on

But thats because people aren't taught properly that its their own self-determination that makes things happen

A person or a populace who is only loyal to their own values is a scary prospect to a prospecitve tyrant

on the contrary, a smart tyrant would do just that

If you know what people value personally, you can manipulate them with that

the issue with Tyrants, is that they tell people what they should want,

And thats not what people want so they don't listen/follow, so you have to oppress them

Or one that played its hand too early.

They tell people "Ooh its not that bad"

People say "Oh yes it is"

And they go to jail for it

Trump would be an example of a smart tyrant

Well heres the thing, its a two pronged approach, they replace the people with another demographic with similar values, and arrest the people who object.

He gives his followers what they want, which is what they voted for, he doesn't tell them "You want X"

He tells them "I want you to become rich and powerful again so you can do what you want"
And people follow because thats what Americans want

Power, Money and Freedom

Whether or not they actually follow through is another question
