I love myself a cute woman in armour.
Just not in a "authentic" sim

can't remember the name
o shit
who dat ?
@ThePoshBarbarian I did research? Its news, the event is a game a few years old suddenly getting review bombed. Looking at the reviews, they blame female generals where they are not supposed to be, suddenly and out of the blue, or the CM's response. It being overblown in a patter of opinion. Believing Kotaku's take is anything other than hot garbage is on you, its just the first i saw reporting on it, then linked the steam page to confirm that yes: they are review bombing and blaming random female generals and the CM's response.
okay
sorry bout that then
i've just seen enough people lying about this whole thing
it's just pissing me off

understandable
@ThePoshBarbarian
this seems like it might have been what makes people see a much higher female general rate than what the spawn tables suggest. Idk how accurate this is since i don't play the game: "The reason for the frequency of female generals despite the low pool rate is that all wives of male characters in factions which have female generals can then be generals, which means that they get far more women than they receive as candidates. This is likely also how the screenshot which shows all women candidates for generalship was created. In reality, all of these candidates are likely the numerous wives of his male characters."
found that in the comments of the video you linked
barbarians
egypt, and the african-arabian factions
but yeah that is accurate
if you play pure vanilla
i mean i play mostly heavily modded, i tested it out to be sure, with pure vanilla
that seems like it might lead to some issues when playing the game, where even in factions where such generals were somewhat rare, you can unintentionally (or intentionally) end up with a female dominated forced. Which might be some-what immersion breaking. Sounds more like an unintended bug than a feature.
not entirely
unless you willingly just choose men as your candidates and statesmen
you should never be able to just get females
dominated is not only females
unless the RNJesus is against you
RNJesus is always against you, lets be honest lol
yup
however you can choose to not employ them
and, i will say that i'd prefer if CA had not left it to the modders to disable the option
it's bloody fucking common sense
adding an option to disable them in game
and get accused of being sexist?
lol
lets face it, its how things would play out. neither side would be happy
