No there's no indigenous writing system there at all
Ever find it strange that in China, they have a unique writing system...in Japan, they have a unique writing system...in Korea, they have a unique writing system...in Africa, they use the Latin alphabet

Let's not lie to ourselves. Africa wasn't India or China. They made no technological advancements, and even their style of warfare was tribal warfare, unlike China and India's developed style with sophisticated and organised armies. Colonialism only helped Africa integrate into the developing world.
