The CPU looks good

2019-06-17 19:00:41 UTC

Look at the other window. There’s the blue and green lines.

2019-06-17 19:01:11 UTC

The blue is going over 100% and I don’t know what it means. Says “maximum frequency”

2019-06-17 19:01:47 UTC

It simply means of the total maximum of your processors normal speed.

2019-06-17 19:02:39 UTC

The problem is SLD gets to not responding, this problem happened only today?

2019-06-17 19:03:06 UTC

Nah it’s been happening since I got this computer lol

2019-06-17 19:03:37 UTC

The blue line just simply means of the total maximum of your processors normal speed.

2019-06-17 19:04:06 UTC

Now, from the forums I did send you have you opted out from openGL?

2019-06-17 19:04:09 UTC

If I was in charge of purchasing, I would’ve bought a better, more expensive machine. Preferably one that isn’t a refurbished one.

2019-06-17 19:05:28 UTC

I haven’t tried that yet. This is what happens when I do anything to my model in SolidWorks...

GPU usage spikes to 80-100%

2019-06-17 19:06:13 UTC

Yeah, seems your GPU is kinda weak for the task it has so it contributes to a bottleneck most likely

2019-06-17 19:08:01 UTC

@Andrules The program is model based right?

2019-06-17 19:10:47 UTC

Yes it is.

2019-06-17 19:12:58 UTC

Seems most likely that you will need a better GPU, try to temper a little with the settings from the forum. (Keep the default you have now for back up) Otherwise if this happened from the very start it's because of the GPU mostly

2019-06-17 19:20:06 UTC

Bleh 🤣

2019-06-17 19:21:20 UTC

Still doesn’t explain why the task manager was showing Windows Explorer as the prime user of all my CPU after the crash.

2019-06-17 19:24:24 UTC

It certainly can, HDD sends files to ram and from ram goes to CPU (technically, cache). Graphis are loaded mostly in GPU via VRAM something that your card lacks (only 1 GB) so all the burden now goes to CPU if it can't load more, and basically somewhere in the lines a bottleneck occurs and slow down the system and if it's too heavy for the setup to run it it crashes @Andrules

2019-06-17 19:24:45 UTC

If you check the average response time hits all time high in the photos and the program stop responding

2019-06-17 19:25:17 UTC

Now, if this wasn't happening from the start(meaning from the time you got the pc) I would recommend a clean install on the program.

2019-06-17 19:25:34 UTC

Oh I see. So the GPU is so shitty, it’s slowing my CPU down? 🤣😔

2019-06-17 19:26:01 UTC

Yes, technically you have to get equal power on CPU/GPU otherwise it makes a bottleneck in most tasks

2019-06-17 19:26:18 UTC

my thumb of rule always is the CPU needs to be at least half the money of GPU

2019-06-17 19:26:54 UTC

It's not perfect rule though just to keep in mind

2019-06-17 19:30:07 UTC

Off topic, but I have to ask... in English we say “rule of thumb”. Is the Greek worded as “thumb of rule” when literally translated?

2019-06-17 19:30:33 UTC

I’ll have to see if I can get a GPU upgrade some time.

2019-06-17 19:31:56 UTC

rule of thumb translates to rule,
thumb of rule translates to αντιχειρας του κανονα something that doesn't make any sense

2019-06-17 20:43:33 UTC

Pan man

2019-06-18 06:16:44 UTC

They gonna get soned

2019-06-18 08:34:57 UTC

they're gonna hightail out of there faster than the original trio fled Alabama.
