Free time in PLA or other foreign armies...no silly shit whatsoever
No DUIs, drunken orgies, etc
I usually stayed in my room
I usually mock my Marine sister, "oh I have to smoke all the time because I'm a faggot and I'm in the military"
Wasn't too social but in 3/2 the body builders invited me to work out and beat me into shape. Not like punches and kicks but in your face yelling and throwing or pushing
Really helped motivate me and get me to work harder at it
In 4/2 just threw up my hands and said fuck it
My father in law joined the PLA in like 1979...no rank structure and enlisted men didn't actually get paid back then, it was your duty so why should you get paid was the party's philosophy
No private, sergeant etc. Just soldier, squad leader, platoon leader etc
PL and up got paid like $100 a month
Free time was spent casually drinking and playing Chinese chess or other board games, reading the only book legal in the whole country at the time, or with family
They loved Quotations from Mao so much that they'd get hundreds of copies, so they could take the covers off and glue it on the outside of illegal books and no one would notice
Commissar walks in and sees you reading the red book, good comrade! But it's actually an Iron Man comic
That happened
Everyone is hostile to democracy. Everyone thinks everyone else is wrong
We can't all have our way
Democracy is in fact one of the worst forms of government
Aren't fascists/national socialists most hostile to democracy? (Real ones, not those called such by far left)
and communists and Islamists
National socialism is still socialism
I'm just talking about which groups I suspect to be hostile to democracy. And Jews
Communists believe socialism is a means to an end (end being communism) but true socialists like the Guomindang, Nazis etc want to stop at socialism
I don't do ideological talk. I just replied to the guy who posted if centrists are the most threatening to democracy.
and listed the groups I consider to be against democracy. Also antifa/anarchists
the plight of the centrist is an interesting one
Well democracy is just mob rule
no, the democracy is not just mob rule
The mob favors it, the minority does not. It's essentially anarchy, the strongest survive
when it comes to centrist he will compromise his own values in order to form a peaceful gov
National socialists are just radical authoritarian centrists. Change my mind
the centrist seeks to maintain the status quo by appeasing forces that want him gone
Democracy is rule by the numbers. Majority wins. If the majority believes in segregation, genocide, repealing 2A etc, then that's what happens.
A republic is rule of law, as in constitutional law which protects your rights even if the majority wants to revoke them
@Jirka you're not wrong
Ah man reminds me when I went to Hoensfels for the second time
They called themselves "the third way"
