Because I will applaud when they do their jobs and criticise when they do not. I'm a mother. You can't just discipline and expect correct behavior. You must praise as well.
Especially from those who would try and stand for anything good and noble, like I assume you do.

I believe an improved border barrier is necessary. I'm not convinced a solid concrete edifice is the best solution to the problem, but I agree there is a problem. Borders exists for a reason and must be made credible.
Illegal migration is a problem and must be stopped.

That another child has died in custody is news. The results of the investigation is also worthy news.
How to interpret that news is the public discourse and we all should have a voice to participate in that. At least if you're a US citizen.
