@Ehzek CG boarding officers qualify I think
Or you can try getting on as a reserve deputy with a local rural sheriff, usually they need all the help they can get
A reserve deputy may or may not have all the same training and jurisdiction, but generally qualifies for LEOSA
Some places will pay you for that, others are volunteers. But if you have arrest powers, qualify on a firearm, and are authorized to carry that firearm, then you fall under LEOSA
Even if your arrest powers are limited to on-duty only
I agree with you though, anyone who qualifies on a pistol should be required to carry it 24/7, recruiters included.

@Deleted User I forgot about reserve officers.
I agree on the recruiters for sure. They are basically walking targets at the moment.
The agency may also have their own policy...it won't get you put in jail but you could get fired
Ill have to look into how that works
Biggest agency near me has reserve/unpaid, they can't carry on LEOSA outside the county
Ahh...
Thats a big restriction
Maybe I'll start harassing officers when I go back in about it.
I dont see why military service shouldnt get to use it.
MPs, CID etc can use it
Especially if you require E5 and a combat badge
Basically anyone with arrest authority
Im pretty sure MPs normally dont get it
That's Israeli carry law in a nutshell, NCOs and up can carry as civilians
At least Ive never met a MP with one
MPs are covered by LEOSA
And coast guard boarding officers
