I don't know, I can't help but wonder what was really worse for the blacks - Nice communities, nuclear family, Morals and traditional values, job, car, house, low crime but they have to use a different drinking fountain and there's segregation. I've had to go into newark on business many many times over the years due to there being factories and industry there, and you would hear a gun shot ring off and police sirens every 15-30 minutes. you couldn't park in a mcdonalds parking lot to make a phone call without running a high risk of being robbed.
