Its probably just a thing with Sargon in general.
Still, I now try to avoid having to debate.
But only cause it usually causes both parties to be unhappy so
Yeah.
I had a best friend since 7'th grade of school, since we were children, that I lost because of this nonsense.
Well, still kind of 'have', we still talk, but it's just not the same.
some passions run deep
Now we're at it again, this time about The Last Jedi. lol
He thinks it was good, I think it was a trainwreck.
full of feminist ideals and crap, could have been better if they were less cramming their ideas down people's throuts
Even just from a basic storytelling perspective it is a mess.
editing is an art
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFMyMxMYDNk How Star Wars was saved in the edit
I just hate that it invalidated all the cool parts from the original lore
magic girl powers
Like come on, Wraith Squadron?
Hand of Judgement?
Mara Jade?
know everything about the force once you first learn of its existance
And lightsaber combat.
no need for masters any more the knowledge is in the dna
Like how the fuck man? Luke had to train with Yoda, Anakin with Obi Wan.
And Rey just happens to be able to use it.
girl power for the win
and know how light speed works without any exp
How to use the Millenium Falcon
Like bitch she only just got on it
As cool as that scene was, it wasn't possible according to Star Wars technical lore. Hyperspace is a separate dimension, so her ship would have just gone right through the fleet, not tore into it.
I mean, I just realised that I wasnt the customer anymore.
The target audience.
But fuck man, I got real attatched to some characters in the books and it kinda makes me sad that there will be no more lore on them
books and movies rarely coincide
Didnt really bother me.
I didnt really click with the heroes aspect of the movies
I preferred the stories of the common soldier
The more time I spend thinking about facets of TLJ the angrier I get
the books and such were more for the fan who wanted to read more, past the Luke saga; either into the future or the past. it was a good way to explore what happens after...these new movies....they don't do that
they take well loved characters, characters that have been the face of the brand for a long time, and essentially slaughter them for all te fans to see
*the. Sorry, got a new keyboard, still trying to work out the key size and stuff lol
Star Wars fans know that Luke, Leia, and Han can't be the ones doing this type of thing forever, they are probably one of the few fan bases that understand time still moves in their favorite universe. but to do what they did to them and the franchise, that's not the way to do it at all...
