Rigging the election seems to just mean convincing people to vote these days.

every election is a rigged election except actual rigged elections

whats interesting is that both parties push the whole "you can vote for whoever you want" narrative, while also saying "fuck you if you vote third party"

its annoyingly inconsistent

and hypocritical

it's just extra insurance to prevent a 3rd party from ever gaining power, not that one ever actually will anyways

a 3rd party can only rise in this system after the death of a main party

The first past the post system is one of my biggest complaints about our system of government in how it makes 3rd party votes not just worthless, but a detriment to yourself, but changing that would mean taking away power from the two parties which means they're not going to change it
