Give me a quote from a founding father where they said Flamethrowers were allowed.

2018-08-28 23:07:01 UTC

by modern standards they are

2018-08-28 23:11:05 UTC

In the Federalist Papers is specifically says that the intent is so that the public may form a militia at any time equal or comparable to an infantry regiment.

2018-08-28 23:11:41 UTC

I mean, yeah.

2018-08-28 23:14:42 UTC

flamethrowers is just bigger lighter

2018-08-28 23:14:43 UTC

not a gun

2018-08-28 23:14:51 UTC

IIRC you are constitutionally allowed to own tanks. And fighter jets

2018-08-28 23:15:20 UTC

But no one does because they're big and expensive. The couple people that do own them privately use them as a tourist trap or for historical preservation.

2018-08-28 23:15:25 UTC

Nothing really funcitonal.

2018-08-28 23:16:26 UTC

you are only technically allowed to, and it requires an absurd amount of paperwork

2018-08-28 23:16:48 UTC

i think if you served in the military and get like twelve seperate permits you can own a tank

2018-08-28 23:17:20 UTC

If you have enough for a fighter jet, you have enough for lawyers to sort all the stuff out quick

2018-08-28 23:17:21 UTC

No, As I understand it has more to do with ITAR issues.

2018-08-28 23:17:21 UTC

if your rich enough whats to stop you from getting an ICBM??

2018-08-28 23:17:50 UTC

nothing

2018-08-28 23:17:55 UTC

look at putin

2018-08-28 23:17:56 UTC

Mostly you have to be able to show you aren't using it to wage war or acting as a straw purchaser for someone like Iran.

2018-08-28 23:17:57 UTC

I mean, do you know anyone selling ICBMs?

2018-08-28 23:17:59 UTC

and trump

2018-08-28 23:18:05 UTC

You get a nuke, you get a nuke, EVERYONE GETS A NUKE

2018-08-28 23:18:14 UTC

The AnCap way.

2018-08-28 23:18:21 UTC

I WANT TWO THANK YOU VERY MUCH

2018-08-28 23:18:23 UTC

truly

2018-08-28 23:18:28 UTC

But seriously, nukes are basically impossible to build and you won't be able to buy one.

2018-08-28 23:18:28 UTC

i mean, russia misplaces them often enough, its probably easy to get a nuke from them

2018-08-28 23:18:46 UTC

oh def its not realistic

2018-08-28 23:18:47 UTC

You cant nuke me, you’ll violate my NAP you commie

2018-08-28 23:18:53 UTC

but funny though

2018-08-28 23:19:22 UTC

I'll nuke the NAP with the first one and then nuke you, checkmate

2018-08-28 23:19:40 UTC

i used the NAP joke yesterday in response to a friends post in another discord

2018-08-28 23:20:19 UTC

we already live in an ancap world

2018-08-28 23:20:25 UTC

its the internet

2018-08-28 23:20:32 UTC

they just don't like where it eventually evolves to.

2018-08-28 23:20:40 UTC

Don't follow.

2018-08-28 23:20:45 UTC

But whatever.

2018-08-28 23:20:48 UTC

You can’t nuke my NAP, it has super magic armor. REEEEE

2018-08-28 23:21:34 UTC

ancap, if you think about it, is where civilization started. The first person to trade with another. It all eventually lead to here.

2018-08-28 23:22:05 UTC

I think you're using very broad definitions of alot of things. But that doesn't really matter.

2018-08-28 23:22:12 UTC

I don't think the world is exactly AnCap anymore.

2018-08-28 23:22:15 UTC

Look at a light infantry regiment's TOE, A few trucks with radios, Assualt Rifles (STGs), Light Machine Guns and or Machine Rifles (LMG /MRs), body armor and helmets, what is so unreasonable about that?
