I'm quite fond of realism and structuralism in global politics.
outside of defining a size from which that changes
I think it makes way more sense than the touchy-feely schools of thought.
/\
i just couldnt get into naturalism or whatever its called
Part of Realism is the belief in a "world in chaos"
and that is due to Sovereignty
Pure rationalism has it's problems.
oh def
Like, cooperation is entirely reasonable.
But at the core, the argument that nations and groups are primarily going to further their interests always seemed sound to me.
yep
that is because everything you do, usually is in your own self-interest. Even the most altruistic are doing it for a feel good feeling.
although i can be super depressing when you realize that some State will do fucked up shit
I mean...that's society as a whole.
and technically under realism they are within their sovereign rights to do so
The world is a dark place.
most people do something fucked up. most groups usually end up with something fucked. just keep scaling and get the state, doing "small fucked up things" that are massive just because of the scale the state exists on
its why i don't like the feds having too much power. At a certain level you are just too big to remember the cells you are made up of.
So a post-modernist would actually argue that "fucked up shit" is inherently colored by one's moral code.
imagine if those cells were people
congrats, you are now any leader ever.
Sure. But there's also the issue of overall losses.
And people tend towards groups and states for good reassons.
Theres an anime about that
lol
the cells thing
i wonder if any of my blood cells are as autistic as the MC of that anime
pfft
"delivering to the lungs, oh whoops i accidentally went to the asshole"
lol
Ive heard a theory that the blood cell chick might be one of those anaemic cells.
Anaemic cells or sickle cell makes red blood cells unable to deliver oxygen efficiently.
Also that means that theres a possibility that they are in a black man.
I am putting this one here
Is poland authoritarian? Or is he mixing up populist with authoritarian.
Disagreeing with me is authoritarian, so you'd better agree with me or else.
But really I've heard some things about Poland that have made me really raise an eyebrow lately, but I can't remember right now, so hopefully someone will come along who knows more and wants to make me look stupid
```Is poland authoritarian? Or is he mixing up populist with authoritarian.```
He's mixing up Nationalist with Authoritan.
Just look at Polands History, first we fucked them, then the russians fucked them. And now we fuck them again.
