Are mascots furries?
Yes?
Depends on the mascot?
Is Barny a furrie?
No, Barnie is a scaly.
They're the ones into lizards.
i think hes asking about the suit not the character
And the Fake News Aspect, people are citing this as a "Dogman Attack"
Mountain Lion?
No claw or bite punchers, so that is inconsistent with a Puma
kitty
k
They are slowly moving back east due to an increase in sightings so was curious
Who is this guy writing this for?
The people who want to silence their opposition and cut down on freedom of speech.
There's a massive horde of them in the academies and they're becoming mainstream.
"Disagreement requires a shared set of presuppositions about the world." - who decides what these presuppositions are, and what are the consequences for those that reject them?
This is literally about minimizing the scope and range of valid political thought. I'd never thought I'd see the day, but it's here. Authoritarianism in action. And these are the intellectuals who seek to seize power for their own ends and eliminate any resistance by show of force.
Greenblatt is definitely a jewy name
>people posting Onion articles in here
Really rustles my jimmies folks
Well it is <#399204742846349312>.
Fair
I just think that the onion deserves a bit more respect than to be posted in the same channel as cnn or msnbc
Parody is different from the intent of fake-news
fake-news is for misleading information, media fucking up or being dishonest in general
So here's one for you guys. What do you think? Actual crazy feminist or fox news plant? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP-lpEOVcmY https://thenextweb.com/media/2018/03/03/fox-triggers-its-own-audience-with-misleading-viral-video/ https://biowikis.com/cathy-areu/ https://twitter.com/areucathy?lang=en
what is it with this "right side of history"-bs? if you ARE on it, you don't have to tell people about it.
Advertising technique.
I have yet to meet a leftist who didn't believe their total victory was inevitable, morally righteous and the only truth. Traditionally, it's a Marxist belief (Marx believed that societies would always devolve to give more power to the people and believed it to be 'scientifically correct.' Alot of it gets lost in his calls for activism, but he fundamentally believed the revolution was inevitable and would only be a matter of time)
Now, why it's become popular recently? I'm not sure. It's something of a threat--the losers in a revolution are usually killed--but I think it's essentially a bandwagon proposal. It's actually kind of fascist in a way, it's saying to join in our side as we're stronger and will win. And you want to win, don't you?
But the left has gotten far more radical and far more activist lately, and it might be a part of it.
Probably more symptom than cause. But there's a relationship there.
it's an appeal to emotion, instead of reason.
a bad way to argue.
Well, maybe not a bad way, because it does work...
