They're soldiers. They fight wars.

2019-06-14 00:08:50 UTC

They are soldiers of the country

2019-06-14 00:09:01 UTC

In the 70s they killed the Red Guards

2019-06-14 00:09:17 UTC

their oath is to serve it and protect it's people. That stands for out of the country enemies, and inside the country

2019-06-14 00:09:22 UTC

Did they killed Mao?

2019-06-14 00:09:30 UTC

God killed Mao

2019-06-14 00:09:38 UTC

Did they killed Mao?

2019-06-14 00:09:55 UTC

God doesn't kill

2019-06-14 00:11:09 UTC

2019-06-14 00:11:14 UTC

2019-06-14 00:11:18 UTC

@Amadeus a lot of Russians weren’t communists, and their army was brainwashed

2019-06-14 00:20:04 UTC

@blondishasp , sure, add me as well

2019-06-14 00:20:43 UTC

@Iakovos Most of them weren't brainwashed, some were added to the army by force and they had the red lines that if you tried to flee they would kill you off

2019-06-14 00:21:08 UTC

I've been to China, with religious items, been to church, my wife is a Christian Catholic, and we never faced any persecution whatsoever @Deleted User

2019-06-14 00:26:34 UTC

I wear a Saint Michael medal on my neck all the time and of course you show it to the airport police and they didn't have an issue with it

2019-06-14 00:26:51 UTC

So the presecution they do to the Churches and what they enforce what is it?

2019-06-14 00:26:54 UTC

90% of this religious persecution is western media propaganda

2019-06-14 00:27:08 UTC

@Deleted User is he your patron saint?

2019-06-14 00:27:24 UTC

@Deleted User do Orthodox have patron saints?

2019-06-14 00:27:27 UTC

The largest church to get shut down in recent memory was in Chengdu or Chongqing I forget which

2019-06-14 00:27:43 UTC

@Iakovos there was kinda three aspects of the Soviet Army--the actual communists who deserved to die, the non-communists forced into it or going along with it just to survive, and then the ones that were holdovers from Imperial Russia (aka the best ones, the true patriots)
the first ones deserved to die, the rest deserved far better than the Soviet Union

2019-06-14 00:27:48 UTC

I've read their statement of faith and it was basically like Jehovah Witness trash

2019-06-14 00:28:29 UTC
2019-06-14 00:28:50 UTC

They said things like, you can't have a government job if you are a Christian, no true Christians can be cops or soldiers etc

2019-06-14 00:29:02 UTC

It was very similar to JW trash and they were shut down for it

2019-06-14 00:29:21 UTC

There's a Catholic Church in Shanghai that has had 3000 people in one mass

2019-06-14 00:29:49 UTC

There's Orthodox churches up north, where ethnic Russians with PRC citizenship go

2019-06-14 00:30:16 UTC

So the enforcing of states doctrine is a lie?

2019-06-14 00:30:19 UTC

Protestant churches too

2019-06-14 00:30:24 UTC

It depends

2019-06-14 00:30:28 UTC

While the CCP is officially atheist, Protestantism and Catholicism are two of five faiths sanctioned by the government and religious freedom has been enshrined in the constitution since the 1980s. For decades, authorities tolerated the house churches, which refused to register with government bodies that required church leaders to adapt teachings to follow party doctrine.
