See, this is why I like federalism.

2018-11-07 04:59:33 UTC

Yeah, we're gonna have to really play it cool now.

2018-11-07 04:59:46 UTC

If this was a rational world, neither of the parties would even fucking exist

2018-11-07 04:59:56 UTC

If the left stays in CA, and the right stays in TX. And no one goes stepping on each other's toes... I could like that.

2018-11-07 04:59:57 UTC

I'm worried all the alt-right trolls are going to wreck everything for us.

2018-11-07 04:59:57 UTC

Both have dropped the ball immensely\

2018-11-07 05:00:10 UTC

I don't know if this can be chalked up as a routine midterm. Not with the turnout.

2018-11-07 05:00:14 UTC

In a rational world one examines the evidence and decides what is the best solution for the situation.

2018-11-07 05:00:20 UTC

Im just waiting for the memes to pop up tomorrow

2018-11-07 05:00:22 UTC

In all fairness, each one of them should've recieved a kick to the balls

2018-11-07 05:00:25 UTC

It's not a routine midterm. But the results seem pretty normal.

2018-11-07 05:00:31 UTC

"I think centrist is the way to go for democrats" WE HAVE RATIONALITY PEOPLE

2018-11-07 05:00:46 UTC

That's if the Dems ever go centrist

2018-11-07 05:00:47 UTC

Most midterms draw only people angry with the president. This time BOTH sides were pulled in with passion.

2018-11-07 05:00:47 UTC

Jews? Jews.

2018-11-07 05:00:48 UTC

We just had an enthusiasm surge. That much is sure. But this has happened before.

2018-11-07 05:00:56 UTC

well cali has a good chunk of red its the big cities that turn it blue

2018-11-07 05:00:58 UTC

Honestly, I dont even think a centrist exists between the big two

2018-11-07 05:01:26 UTC

Am I the only one who thinks that both parties should've been put out of their misery a while ago?

2018-11-07 05:01:32 UTC

^

2018-11-07 05:01:40 UTC

Why?

2018-11-07 05:01:42 UTC

because honestly, it seems like both are just flavors of the same exact raw sewage

2018-11-07 05:01:44 UTC

The US was actually very polarized before WWII. It only really came together in the past decades. There was a left press and a right press. Enthusiasm was usually high.

2018-11-07 05:01:49 UTC

Centrists are an endangered species on both sides of the aisle

2018-11-07 05:01:54 UTC

2018-11-07 05:01:55 UTC

the only difference is the color and military spending

2018-11-07 05:01:59 UTC

The founding fathers warned against a 2 party system...

2018-11-07 05:01:59 UTC

What has changed is that the parties are more homogenous than back then and federalism is not as strong.

2018-11-07 05:01:59 UTC

I am rare

2018-11-07 05:02:31 UTC

The US can actually survive partisanship. But it needs to be able to function locally.

2018-11-07 05:02:33 UTC

Oh no

2018-11-07 05:02:35 UTC

Yes, a 2 party system seems to be causing a significant amount of problems.

2018-11-07 05:02:38 UTC

CA is coming in

2018-11-07 05:02:39 UTC

Clearly the answer is to impose a Catholic Theocratic Republic across America to restore order and the way to God

2018-11-07 05:02:43 UTC

Luckily, we seem to be moving to a 1 party system.

2018-11-07 05:02:44 UTC

Newsom is projected to win

2018-11-07 05:02:51 UTC

Oh, don't tease me, Red.

2018-11-07 05:02:59 UTC

Blue states staying blue in cali so far

2018-11-07 05:03:12 UTC

Again, if the Republicans would drop thier hate for GLBT I'd be open to them. But, alas...

2018-11-07 05:03:15 UTC

A pendulum perhaps?

2018-11-07 05:03:31 UTC

While I tend to run more conservative, I don't really agree with all of the Republican things...
