It would really help LGBT advocacy if there were fewer highly visible weirdos and more visible people like Rubin, Thiel, Paglia, and Murray. No tattoos, piercings, dyed hair or outlandish dress. We just want to be permitted to live quietly like other folks. I carry a lot of labels proudly, but honestly i'd love for my GLBT labels to just vanish because no one cares.

I think that's indicitive of your generation as well as that upbringing, that ya understand that. I think the economy and having free/cheap shit being slowly introduced since foreign import (mostly from China in the 70s-80s) have made that "free" society a crutch
