They want a civil war.
so as far as i know liberals who have been pushing for gun control want to fight conservatives WHO HAVE BEEN COLLECTING GUNS OVER THE LAST 250 YEAR? there is even a guy who has a museum full of weapons
no matter what your views on guns are you can tell thats a retarded idea
do they seriously think that an antifa mob does anything against an m2 browning?
why do you think the left defends gangs? they need their army
"pssst, hey, ms-13, we'll try and make it easier for you to sell drugs here by pushing open boarders and less drug laws. but you need to get our backs in the coming civil war"
Yep, the gungrabbing left is cynically targeting white lawful gunowners for disarmament while it ignores black gang violence and MS-13 and antifa.
I am currently trying to understand the case of a medical student who was expelled from UVA, apparently for criticizing a lecture on micro-aggressions. His tone of voice is completely rational and calm. He was to be expelled for 1 year and after an Internet furor, even the campus police was involved and he was told stay away from certain areas of campus for 4 years.

This is a developing story. There certainly have been mistakes on both sides.
I am not sure if it's worth reporting on this, yet, but if this sounds generally interesting, I can keep people informed.
All US universities need to burn.
@devpav Well, I won't be on record for saying that, but you wouldn't be wrong for saying that this is in line with a broader pattern that many have recently been very critical of.
Didn't University of Chicago tell snowflakes to get over it?
Hmm? I might have missed the story or just be drawing blanks right now. What was that about?
It was a few years ago during FIRE's marathon months, where every school was taking a public stand for or against free speech
Oh, oh, oh ... right. And Chicago was one of the more reasonable ones, who took a public stance against trigger warnings and for freedom of speech - right?
Yes
One of them at least. Iirc there's like 2 or 3 UofC's
I dunno on what level the administrative decision was made
But yeah #notall and such
UVA, however, I think has a reputation for being very regressive.
FIRE is actually a nice resource for finding the good institutions
Yes, it is.
Oh probably
FIRE is a great group.
Kieran, the student who has been expelled/suspended, had reached out to them, but I have not yet seen an article on this.
One thing that's nice about the upcoming election is that even if Scheer gets in he wants to attach federal funding for post secondaries to adherence to free speech principles
Dave Cullen/Computing forever, had just released a video addressing classes on micro-aggresions in other medical schools.
Lauren Southern started her channel talking about gender studies courses in BC
Yes, I think I heard something about that. That would be great and a continuation of the repeal of the Title IX changes.
To start this off, I wanna say that politically, I'm moderate, and that in no particular way do I align 100% with any political group anywhere on the spectrum, but I feel as if all people with moderate political inclinations ever do is talk. Debates, arguments, trolling, making fun of other people, etc. I feel like we've, in a way, talked too much. We've let malignant people take office in our country, who have a complete disregard for the people and only care about how many more digits they can add to their checks. We've let an anarchist terrorist group spring up and run rampant through America, damaging property and hurting dozens of innocent people, sometimes even for their race, gender, religion, or even under the false pretence that they are "Nazis", which the word itself is incorrectly used. And because this anarchist group has sprung up, real neo-fascists have come out of the woodwork. We have let these egregious events take root and fester within our nation, and other nations around our world. And what have we been doing? Debating, trolling, __talking__. We have sat idly by and run our mouths while the world, in one capacity or another, begins to tear itself to bits.
I believe we need to take an active stance against those who wish to see our freedom, rights, and identity destroyed. I believe we need to give ourselves a voice not just in the words we say, but the actions we cause. This isn't a call to extremism, nor is it a call to violence. People like Antifa, the various neo-fascist worker parties of America, and the political imbeciles on capital hill do not care for logic, reason, or debate. It's time we wake up and see that. We need to be the metaphorical "Hands and Feet" of the politically moderate, otherwise we will continue to be trampled by the far left and more extreme right wing groups.
Why be moderate, when I can be accurate?
Go ahead.
@Zak the Antler Mutt There's a lot of good points in that write-up.
I am increasingly disillusioned with debate. You cannot win a game of chess against someone who plays checkers.
Thank you. I am eager to see a rebuttal though. I wanna make sure I'm held accountable for any mistakes I make.
You can be sure of that. If people love one thing, it's trying to poke holes into arguments.
I have come to the conclusion that the current political landscape primarily boils down to two fundamentally incompatible social models.
There are many such divisions, but one that is frequently pointed out is that of collectivism/socialism vs. meritocratic libertarianism.
