Yes, the two are supposed to be balanced with each other
Japan is to have their business last as long as possible. A few business conglomerates see business as family
I think the third is the ideal approach to build policy and culture around
They have massive conglomerates which work people to the bone
People kill themselves over work stress, not all at once but overtime
They dont have families and the government currently gives out massive benefits to anyone who has a child
Who’s “they?”
Japan?
the japanese
This is true. Asians are very fixated on the concept of status
If youd like to see something achieved like better quality of life for workers japan should be an example of what not to do
Working like crazy is part of that
People would be more productive but also more stressed which goes against the needs of the individual
The CEOs can publicly flog themselves, but it wont fix the fact that they reward over-working and the prioritization of work over social life to the point where the former erases the later
A family based approach maintains the needs and respects the time of the individual.
Dont you see thats the problem?
You can only have one family
If work becomes that family you have no need for one outside of it
If an average CEO cut his pay in HALF and paid it out to his workers I would suspect that most would see less that a $10 annual raise.... So where is the benifit?
It wouldn’t necessarily have to be distributed like that
Becasue that income represents a HUGE investment on behalf of the CEO
and would equal basically nothing to his workers
(or hers)
:p
If Elon Musk were to give away 20 billion he would atill have 2 billion. Tesla/SpaceX has 50,0000 people so each employee (assuming even distribution) would get $400,000 each
lol
most of that exists in the form of stock options
Which are valued at current market price
The fact he was able to buy that much to begin with is a concern
what?
If he had 2 Billion he would not be investing in things like civillian space travel and electric cars... So which is better for the world?
he created those companies, he gave away large portions of the stock
"gave away" = SOLD
to investors and via public trading
So to start with this stock was worthless, but then he made it worth something and now he should give it up
He put in MASSIVE amounts of work that frankly next to no one else would/could do. and nopw you want to punish him for it? that is patently insane. You want to promote MORE people wo do that kind of work
Not punish everyone who does
Bu-but its not communism tho
just remember that
