because 10 mintues later I get a different email saying they would not remove the strike

Youtube put MCNs on the hook for their member's content.

Sure he said some dumb stuff but never anything realy abusive

They're generally incredibly vague, and subject to the whims of the enforcers.

Certain content is, in general, more risky than others.

Youtube will effectively demolish an MCN given a set number of strikes

in much the same way a single channel can be removed after 3 strikes

And that would affect an entire MCN's creators.

Therefore, MCNs are now given a threat to their existance, and a risk they have to assess, with the standard YouTube® No Firm Answers™ policy, leaving them insecure about what content will get them taken down or not.

Computing Forever was taken on initially as a Tech channel. It evolved into a politics channel, something the MCN did not count on. Furthermore, it's politics that are not currently 'In Vogue' with what most Social Media sites promote. Given that current situation, and the fact that he's changed his focus towards politics before, it was probably a risk assessment that he could potentially move towards deeper subjects, more offensive content, etc. And they'd rather cut ties with him before he gets a strike as opposed to after.
