lets just call an entire nation of people "xenophobes" and "islamophobes"... cos bigotry apparently gets you over 110k retweets and over 250k likes https://twitter.com/KhaledBeydoun/status/1018540593897705473?s=20
I guess its ok against the french
nah, even the frenchies don't deserve this
its ok to be racist to white people
Uhh, what?
they deserve to be called a bunch of wino surrender monkeys for sure
because that's what they are
see look at all the likes and retweets
It wasn't Africans and Muslims, it was French Citizens
but only things that are accurate :^)
yeah thats what most people replying say.. but theyre all racists! 😛
Some people seem to think that your skin color is a permanent marker of your nationality, and you'll never be able to integrate and fit in in a new nation, or even the nation you were born in.
We call these people "anti-racist" for some reason
You might, they're just racist in my eyes
pretty sure its only america that puts "african" before the nation
it changes from week to week
if you said a black british guy was "african-british" ... youre likely to get a punch... its seen as pretty offensive
anything other than british is pretty offensive tbh
african american got sidelined for PoC, and expect that to be replaced by BIPoC as the purity spiral reaches the funnel
PoC?
Person of color
Yeah i think in the US the politeness scale goes
or sometimes people of colour
Black > African American > Person of color
Problem is
'Person of color' is vague
@Deleted User Lemme know if there's anything worthwhile to watch in this video. 30 minutes in and it's just Thunderf00t not understanding that it started promising and went to shit after because of how poorly May handled everything. The concept of the passage of time seems to escape Thunderf00t for this video, probably because it doesn't involve physics, but it would certainly help his understanding of why people have done a 180 on their opinion of Theresa May.
Yeah, that's why BIPoC is starting to gain steam. Black/Indigenous person of color. Since Asians are starting to lose their minority status in some people's eyes despite being a much smaller population in the US than black people.
Certain kinds of asians
If you're from pakistan or iraq or something like that
You still fall into it
But Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese
Etc
My problem with the term PoC is how clearly it stratifies us among races into 'white' and 'everyone else'. As though minorities' defining characteristic is only in their comparison to white people. Shit's fucked.
Yeah, suppose so. Though i think when you see it alot of the time its just a overbearing attempt to be polite or PC.
Honestly i just wish identity politics would not be a thing, or at least less of a thing. People frothing at the mouth over it, on both sides, just makes me want to go deaf to the world sometimes.
Id also argue that if you want color, caucasians have alot of color variety for just hair and eyes alone
yeah you can even be black and Caucasian
theres a subgroup of Caucasian called hamite from north africa which is very dark skinned
Well thats probably a result of mixing
Like why alot of spanish have a slightly darker tone
