except theyre liberal.. and left.. 😛

2018-07-16 14:57:32 UTC

Like back to when people started using slurs again, horrifying I know.

2018-07-16 14:57:55 UTC

Back to when women cant ask for abortions on taxpayers dime.

2018-07-16 14:57:58 UTC

Oh the humanity.

2018-07-16 14:58:03 UTC

the people who championed free speech are now "free speech extremists"

2018-07-16 14:58:17 UTC

The left used, to be the ones for free speech

2018-07-16 14:58:29 UTC

Or more specifically, freedom of expression

2018-07-16 14:59:02 UTC

MLK is obviously a nazi because he wants everyone to be treated equally...

2018-07-16 14:59:26 UTC

Thats the side that baffles me to be honest.

2018-07-16 14:59:47 UTC

when really affirmative action and segregation is the "progressive" way

2018-07-16 15:00:07 UTC

tbh, i think this is just the natural flow of things. Its really hard to determine what the exact middle is, and very unlikely to stay there, so you swing in between one extreme to the other. When it gets to far on the one side, people push back towards the other side, but they keep looking back so they don't see when they have crossed the line in front of them until a different group of people pushes back

2018-07-16 15:00:11 UTC

I mean, republicans got along without that,

2018-07-16 15:00:29 UTC

Like first black congress man? First woman in a govt position? Both repubs

2018-07-16 15:00:49 UTC

but muh switching sides

2018-07-16 15:00:55 UTC

Wait... Cant recall the exact term

2018-07-16 15:01:03 UTC

those were really democrats member

2018-07-16 15:01:18 UTC

projection?

2018-07-16 15:01:27 UTC

dude republicans were assassinated by the KKK... how many dems were assonated by KKK?

2018-07-16 15:01:52 UTC

it was a republican that wrote the 13th amendment

2018-07-16 15:02:18 UTC

it was a republican that freed the slaves

2018-07-16 15:03:32 UTC

Going through the list.

2018-07-16 15:03:35 UTC

well that was inevitable with pressures from the brit empire increasing navy presence - but werent there some against it? some republicans and some democrats?

2018-07-16 15:04:07 UTC

I think it was more economy based rather than a partisan issue

2018-07-16 15:04:46 UTC

And Id imagine they differed on reason

2018-07-16 15:04:58 UTC

liberation of the slaves was totally a strategical move, not a moral one.

2018-07-16 15:05:08 UTC

at least in the US

2018-07-16 15:05:32 UTC

What was the strategy behind that?

2018-07-16 15:05:37 UTC

I can easily see the moral part.

2018-07-16 15:05:46 UTC

But Id like to know what was the strategy

2018-07-16 15:06:33 UTC

for the abolishionists it was totally moral

2018-07-16 15:06:34 UTC

steal all their workers

2018-07-16 15:06:47 UTC

encourage uprisings

2018-07-16 15:06:52 UTC

but sure it was both and inevitable

2018-07-16 15:06:56 UTC

make slaves more willing to join the north

2018-07-16 15:07:05 UTC

Ah I see that

2018-07-16 15:07:09 UTC

so might as well use it to your advantage

2018-07-16 15:07:17 UTC

destabilizes the Souths whole economy and gives you an influx of soldiers

2018-07-16 15:07:27 UTC

helps spark resistence

2018-07-16 15:07:30 UTC

*oooooooooooh*
