to better clarify
Like if they had unfettered power?
Or...?
like people show up and mob rule
more of a question of who do you trust I guess
I trust who i know. Whether you think the public would be reasonable or not is more a matter of faith and hope then 'trust'
i think I get what he's trying to ask
A different level of trust for sure
like if you could decide what percentage of people would need to agree on soemthing that you would trust / support
in your version of democracy
or i guess what percentage of people are morons in your opinion
That's mostly just a pessimism question
And i dont have a answer because in a way i feel like its a stupid question to ask, its... too simple?
99.9999% are morons, only I'm smart tbh
Well I am tired and it is hard to articulate what I want
I think what you said last made clear what you want
But for me I think majority people just don't matter
but not by groups if that makes sense
I think assuming you're surfing above the crowd is some combination of naive and overconfident in most cases. At least to that degree.
I think it is somewhat random
GDPR isnt really anything new, if you were compliant to the previous recommendation (forget the name) you barely had to change anything for most of them, from what i have heard system maintainers talk about it
For me it is more, as far as improving the future, I don't feel motivated to do it for everyone
But I feel motivated to improve the lives of still a significant chunk, and by improving everyone for the sake of the potential in their kids
I mean there is plen ty of people i dont like, but saying i dont think their opinions matter in politics as a result is a bit too simple
They might not matter to me very much, but they still matter
But what if they drag down society as a whole
recommendation wasn't legally binding, it was literally 'hey guys we recommend this because this big thing is coming'
they didn't have to abide by it afaik
I might dismiss SJW's and religious conservatives as a matter of fact, but these peoples opinions still matter overall
But does every SJW opinion matter? Or do you mean that you can't dismiss the group because there are people in the group whose opinions matter
I dont get what you're trying to ask
They can all vote, they can presumably all speak
luckily theyr mostly a vocal minority
Also, the problem with 'dragging society down' is the fact it is ultimately subjective
I don't mean right to have an opinion so much as the opinion itself
Different people have very different ideas on what kind of people drag society down
either you believe their opinion matters or your doesn't matter either..as much as opinions can matter..
For example if someone has a sour opinion of myself that is purely malicious and of a troll nature I would say that particular opinion does not matter
Its the authoritarian problem, and the solution is not being a authoritarian cunt about the whole thing.
It doesnt matter to you, Sure?
But you started this out talking about politics
Politics you say?
