and no, i wasn't suggesting the key factor was him being disabled,

I'm saying the lack of his disability at the time allowed him to strive that far quick enough to get somewhere before it took its toll on his body

He wouldn't be as renouned

As for the free of their disability, you're lumping disabilities with debilitation now
They find living preferable because they're not debilitated enough and have come to terms with it

2018-07-19 16:16:41 UTC

"Not debilitated enough" some of these people have no ability to move their limbs lol

2018-07-19 16:17:15 UTC

Some of these people will die by 30

2018-07-19 16:17:15 UTC

yes, and those people are wholey dependent on someone else

2018-07-19 16:18:12 UTC

Dependent in a physical sense yes, but not necessarily emotional or financial

2018-07-19 16:18:41 UTC

financial too then,

Someone else has to pay for it

2018-07-19 16:18:45 UTC

But this argument that an outside force should decide when a life shouldn't occur based on suffering sounds an awful lot like utilitarian thinking to me

2018-07-19 16:19:09 UTC

Maybe they have paid for it. There are nigh infinite ways to make money

2018-07-19 16:19:22 UTC

thats after someone experienced life

We're talking before they were even born

2018-07-19 16:19:25 UTC

~~Oh god he's got a bigger chest then me~~

2018-07-19 16:19:49 UTC

Well children have to be supported in all those ways by their parents already

2018-07-19 16:19:55 UTC

Financially, physically, emotionally

2018-07-19 16:20:02 UTC

yes, with the goal of making them self-sustaining

2018-07-19 16:20:10 UTC

a person who can't move from birth, can't do that

2018-07-19 16:20:36 UTC

A person who can't move from birth can't make money from financial transactions?

2018-07-19 16:20:58 UTC

I wasn't aware you had to use your hands to make money in the modern era

2018-07-19 16:21:08 UTC

how will they make the transaction?

2018-07-19 16:21:41 UTC

Digitally. You know there are quadriplegics who play video games right?

2018-07-19 16:21:49 UTC

and how do they do that, if they can't move?

2018-07-19 16:21:58 UTC

You have a face. It can move

2018-07-19 16:22:08 UTC

That's the simple explanation

2018-07-19 16:22:10 UTC

Dude was playing Legend of Grimrock with his mouth

2018-07-19 16:22:16 UTC

Though, those people still need alot of taking care of.

2018-07-19 16:22:28 UTC

and how does he do that? 😉 mouth magic?

2018-07-19 16:22:31 UTC

Just because they can play video games, does not mean they are a fully functioning person

2018-07-19 16:22:34 UTC

someone else set the system up for them

2018-07-19 16:22:37 UTC

they're dependant

2018-07-19 16:22:42 UTC

Well, kinda

2018-07-19 16:22:49 UTC

Alot of them use a pen, pencil, similar

2018-07-19 16:22:51 UTC

plus alot of macros

2018-07-19 16:22:52 UTC

You didn't build your computer and phone from scratch

2018-07-19 16:23:02 UTC

So you're dependent. Checkmate atheists

2018-07-19 16:23:09 UTC

It's pretty impressive honestly

2018-07-19 16:23:31 UTC

granded the GPU i bought, cuz fuck that

the rest is part by part made 😄

2018-07-19 16:23:38 UTC

Pretty much everything you use was "set up for you"

2018-07-19 16:23:49 UTC

Yeah? You built a CPU by hand m8?

2018-07-19 16:24:01 UTC

fine, i bought the CPU too

2018-07-19 16:24:14 UTC

You bought all the parts and then put then together

2018-07-19 16:24:19 UTC

Someone set up the parts

2018-07-19 16:24:22 UTC

not this pc itself though, i made one for a school project

2018-07-19 16:24:28 UTC

Someone built your house, your fridge
