Singapore has a compulsoury national service
Thats what he wants, but with democratic control over the workplaces
They have great roads
And that also counts firefighters
Their trains have gone pretty bad recently though
roads are private? , my point is they have socialism in aspects
government paying for infrastructure
Government giving things isn't socialism mate
@Blackhawk342 You actually have those in the US in places.
1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2 a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3 : a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done
They usually don't grow very big. But can sorta work on very small scales at times.
I dont like when socialists make that argument
As long as it doesnt grow larger than a village it can work
@Blackhawk342 That's your communists' definition of Communism?
The govt providing certain services people are forced to pay for is not socialist
No thats the dictionary definition of socialism
im not a anything its been warpedf rom that
That's just statist
Not socialist
socai demcocracy is what bernie ran on
What my person wants to see is a nordic model but with democratic control of workplaces
social democrat or some shit
I think we need to sorta separate things a bit.
There's a couple key things here:
he wants to pay for ur shit
aka social
He wants rich people to pay "their fair share"
@Blackhawk342 How long would a workplace last democratically?
@GingaBomber taxs r theft tho
How long will a company last democratically?
Imagine how hard it is to start a company only for you to be kicked out
That depends, i know there are certain companies like that
VICE ran a story about a democratically controlled bakery
I wonder if they'll even make it through month without factions forming in the companies
when the has private banks printing unlimited debt money tax is bullshit just saying.
(1) Government provision of services
(2) Ownership of Personal Property
(3) Ownership of productive property
(4) Government based redistribution (charity is something else)
Like how about customers?
There's a bookstore in Seattle that is in trouble that has been a coop.
they can spend all the military money on tax and its like 1% of what taxes get govt wide
Shareholders should be in charge
