Ha holy shit.
All I can say is everything went silent.
A friend of mine about your age enlisted because of that
Everyone was stunned.
I was still firmly in school
I remember 9/11 funny enough. I was in daycare, probably 3 I think
I had people tell me... oh you know nothing about 9/11....
Bitch I lived it... I saw it as it unfolded.
They brought us into the music room and showed us footage
Wow Creep, it's not often I feel old, but there you went and did it.
I just remember people crying and my mother picking me up early
I was in grade 4 or 5
I was shocked, stunned, and worried. I thought we were under attack by a foreign nation at the time.
I was keeping a eye on the white house, pentagon, and pearl harbor.
Pearl Harbor was alerted at the time, all the ships left port.
People were being removed from White house and Pentagon, being placed in bunkers.
Actually, I was probably 5
I can't even remember the memories well
Then I heard about the pentagon being hit and another plane was hijacked, heading towards the white house.
I just found out the other day that the fighters scrambled to take down flight 93 weren't actually armed at the time since no one thought that something like that was possible, so they were just going to have to ram it, but then the passengers did what they did
Yeah they were ready to ram it with their jets.
Well, my mother became a Christofascist after that.
Or at least I think she was
Then finally... we heard that the passengers fought back against the hijackers and the last plane crashed landed into a field.
I finally breath a sigh of relief because the attack was over, but then the thoughts were, are we going to retaliate against the nation that attacked us. At the time I still thought we were attacked by a foreign nation.
Were we going into full fledge war? Were we going to use nukes? Those thoughts really crossed my mind.
I gathered up my family and headed down to the nuclear bunker that is located in the bank downtown, so many other families were there as well.
The road was littered with cars, people trying to get to the bunker.
Basically that is what happen.
Sorry for the little story.
It was scary, after the shock came the scramble to bunkers.
S'all good. I always find it interesting to hear what other people's experiences were
I wonder if the Canooks will get 9/11ed
Everyone were worried. Everyone was shocked. We knew we were at war, but with who came across our minds.
Like I'm still not a fan of the (*still not fucking finished*) war on terror
But I've chatted with Afghanistan/Iraq vets
Some thought it was Russia, others thought it was with China...
I still appreciate their viewpoint and the fact that they fought for a cause they believed in
Lol. China? Don't they have dragon holes in their towers?
