oh no it is not quote from jefferso

2018-08-30 23:24:22 UTC

There's no such thing as 'annulment', unless you mean Trump annulling Obama's legacy of EO's.

2018-08-30 23:24:25 UTC

though I'm sure he said it

2018-08-30 23:24:35 UTC

The innocent man I would give him a light sentence, like 1 year prison time, then release him on good behavior in month and half before clearing his record.. As for the 10 who are guilty, I would punish them with the full book.

2018-08-30 23:24:46 UTC

I know there is no such thing as annulment, but I think they're going to manufacture it.

2018-08-30 23:24:50 UTC

> Other commentators have echoed the principle; Benjamin Franklin stated it as, "it is better 100 guilty Persons should escape than that one innocent Person should suffer"

2018-08-30 23:25:05 UTC

> It is more important that innocence should be protected, than it is, that guilt be punished; for guilt and crimes are so frequent in this world, that all of them cannot be punished.... when innocence itself, is brought to the bar and condemned, especially to die, the subject will exclaim, 'it is immaterial to me whether I behave well or ill, for virtue itself is no security.' And if such a sentiment as this were to take hold in the mind of the subject that would be the end of all security whatsoever

2018-08-30 23:25:16 UTC

They will manufacture *anything* if it means power.

2018-08-30 23:25:27 UTC

I would work with the law to get the man the lightest sentence and have his record exponged.

2018-08-30 23:25:49 UTC

If I have no choice to place a innocent in prison to keep the 10 guilty in prison.

2018-08-30 23:26:08 UTC

MArk> Abraham drew near, and said, "Will you consume the righteous with the wicked? What if there are fifty righteous within the city? Will you consume and not spare the place for the fifty righteous who are in it?[2] ... What if ten are found there?" He [The Lord] said, "I will not destroy it for the ten's sake."[3]

I'm watching very carefully for public figures on the left dropping the word "annul" or "annulment" with respect to Trump. If you see more and more celebs, commentators, politicians, etc use the word you know they're trying to give the concept legitimacy.

2018-08-30 23:26:21 UTC

Is that a good choice?

2018-08-30 23:26:53 UTC

Atkins they cannot do anything without legislative power to do it

2018-08-30 23:26:56 UTC

Moral Dilemma by Timcast was you free innocent man and 10 guilty accused of sexual misconduct or keep innocent in prison with the 10 guilty for sexually misconduct. I would put innocent man in prison with light sentence after explaining to him while putting harsh sentences with the 10 guilty, then release man on good behavior after a month before expunging his record. I have a feeling the innocent man would agree with me since I have no choice.

2018-08-30 23:27:01 UTC

Atkins but once they have that power they will do it

2018-08-30 23:28:51 UTC

What would you guys do?

2018-08-30 23:29:18 UTC

@Mark I would adhere to blackstone's formulation as I quoted above I think

2018-08-30 23:29:55 UTC

Well I am thinking outside the box.

2018-08-30 23:30:55 UTC

If I can't do that, I would not put him in prison because I don't want to be responsible for ruining a innocent man's life.

2018-08-30 23:31:28 UTC
2018-08-30 23:31:39 UTC

Mark, the principle is one of the foundations of liberalism

2018-08-30 23:31:48 UTC

and liberalism in the sense of liberalism not leftism

2018-08-30 23:31:50 UTC

Liberals are against it now.

2018-08-30 23:31:54 UTC

Since Trump is for it.

2018-08-30 23:31:59 UTC

Mark, they are not liberals 😉

2018-08-30 23:32:14 UTC

Well the modern liberals, not classical liberals.

2018-08-30 23:32:21 UTC

Classical Liberals are cool.

2018-08-30 23:32:28 UTC

Classical Liberals is a bit of misnomer

2018-08-30 23:32:46 UTC

They are the liberals before the current crazy liberals came.

2018-08-30 23:32:51 UTC

Modern Liberalism started with John Locke - more than 200 years ago

2018-08-30 23:33:08 UTC

O.o

2018-08-30 23:33:12 UTC

Mark, the people you USias call liberals are further to the left

2018-08-30 23:33:33 UTC

Mark, and should rather call them leftists as a group than liberals

2018-08-30 23:33:41 UTC

I used to be a liberal till they started becoming authoritative or I started noticing it for the first time, then I became a Libertarian Republican, but they are against ATheists.

2018-08-30 23:33:58 UTC

Mark, but if someone is authoriarian they are really not liberal

2018-08-30 23:34:05 UTC

So I became a Atheist, independent constitutionalist who stands by the constitution.

2018-08-30 23:34:18 UTC

The US started misusing liberal around the time JFK died.

2018-08-30 23:34:24 UTC

I think the current modern date "Liberals" are nothing but infiltrators.

2018-08-30 23:34:27 UTC

Mark, Republicans in USA is a liberal conservative party: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberal_conservatism
