When in reality, the reaction is the same as if a friend came up to me and said "I'm thinking about buying some socks later. But I may not"
Rage isn't the goal
Also I want to note that this is as stupid as that streamer who pretended that he "Just so happen to come across this cool little CSGO skin gambling site I have never heard of" even though he was one of the owners of it. & then got caught, & got investigated for various shady stuff.
Actually I take that back a bit, because person on the other hand could have used a sock-puppet account to not get caught, *which makes them even dumber in certain regards.*
Seems just like a joke to me so that they could be like "oh hehehe yeah sounds neat thank you for telling me hehehehehehe" and show all their friends.
I found that on FJ earlier actually. In the cringe channel
like they behave like assholes and demand to be treated better than they treat us
thats the vibe im getting
no one really cares about a trans cartoon
Why the hell is broadcasted Americans Children's Cartoons look like it is going to move faster to give decent yuri in the west Vs these anime people that can do what ever they want who feel like they'll set things back...
*I guess I'll just go back to my Japanese Children's Cartoons & Comics now.*
KOJI KONDO
The thing about High Guardian Spice is I'm not even an anime person, my girlfriend is, right? And I was willing to give it a chance, until I saw all the backlash. From what I saw most people were originally critiquing the way the "coming soon" trailer focused on who was making it and not what it was
Well, also, my complaint was also where the money was sent. Instead of some actual japanese studio, Crunchyroll sent it to some SJW org in the US
Like would you have food at a restaurant that advertises itself as having unique and delicious cuisine, with examples of good meals? Or would you eat at a place that tells you the chef sometimes plays hopscotch with his niece
And yeah, I feel that
Like see how cheap a CR sub was?
Imagine how much actually makes it to japan
Yeah
Theres pleanty to complain about HGS
But art? Not yet.
Its not out yet either, but judging from whos makingthem, i dont have high hopes
Art style looks cute but I'd have to watch it first
I'm generally not an anime person though
But thats not even anime
More anime inspired
I get ya
And to most people used to anime? They would probably find it weak
Im too used to how flashy anime is usually.
I saw a reddit thread by anime fans and they basically said it looks like a formulaic RWBY copy
Yeah, I don't care about the cartoon itself, but CR's service is pretty shitty. Their player is far worse than any other video streaming site's and the video quality is really low too. They actually REDUCED the max video quality a while ago. They should be putting money into improving the service people pay for before producing their own content.
Wait, really? They reduced quality? Dick move
Yeah they reduced the premium quality that only the people paying them have access to.
I question this being anime inspired compared to most anime. Avatar: The Last Airbender Or that CastleVania thing may not technically be anime, but they are definitely anime inspired.
But it's ok because they then said "oops aha sorry about that we'll be fixing it soon" over a year ago and have done nothing since
HGS is definitely heavily anime inspired from what little we know about it. It seems like the most cliche version of the magical girl genre with the 'fantasy specialty school' trope you could imagine. Its art is pure western though
Like seriously the main character just looks like Madoka with a leather apron
I should have noted that I meant the visuals instead of the story.
But they definitely could've done a better job at appealing to their audience of anime viewers for sure
Like it makes sense for netflix to do all sorts of shows, but crunchy roll has a pretty niche audience, and for some reason they aren't really targetting their audience which is just weird.
Marvel has Epic Comics & DC has Vertigo for things they want to sell but not under their normal branding. They could maybe still stream it on their Streaming service, they do also do some Japanese live-action shows & some digital manga, It would not be surprising if they expand out more.
It does not help that even the parts pitching the show (& not the diversity) comes across as tone deaf for people who enjoy animation outside of what you see at the Movies.
They bragged about how they are "going back traditional the 2D animation people just don't do anymore."
