Why not all the rivers are in same direction.? " Im not sure why that should make all the rivers to go in the same direction... and for the Gravity with the sun, the sun is attracting the moon... but if your question was why it orbiting the earth and not the sun (like earth doing), it's because mass isn't the only thing to consider in Gravity, distance is important as mass. so yea the moon is attracted by the sun but because it's MUCH closer to earth then to the sun it's orbiting the earth...
