@GandalfTheGreen what do you guys think of the fact that all solar eclipses are perfectly predicted with spherical earth and heliocentric model
@GandalfTheGreen sorry bro
it's based on ephemerides
oh ya i do
@GandalfTheGreen so ya what makes you say that modern eclipse paths use that ancient device?
Did that ancient device work all over the world?
@Steve Angell I love watching flerfers try to explain the pressure gradient
Suddenly all the rules about following the scientific method go out the window
And are replaced by baseless speculation
@GandalfTheGreen that has nothing to do with solar eclipses
Which is what I was talking about
@GandalfTheGreen ya but that moves
Quite a bit
@๐The Mad Philosopher๐ so? Eclipses today aren't predicted with that
So, they arent
So you have to explain how this method is accurate if it uses the wrong info
So how is this method accurate
Which doesn't use the pattern machine at all
@rightthehand lol 'popular'
yes b/c children are brainwashed with it
sorry that's been confirmed with experiments
unlike anything you cling to
e.g. temperature gradient creating a pressure gradient
@GandalfTheGreen So yeah solar eclipses are still predicted today with gravity, spherical earth, and heliocentric model, wanna see how?
@United Netherlands name a force that isn't 'magical'
@United Netherlands does the electrical force exist?
what makes those forces
like why does that happen when i push on something
seems magical
no, but it seems magical
just like what you said about gravity
how are the observable and measurable?
how is that measured
none of those are forces
one is power , one is N-m, the other is meters
how do you measure thrust, what instrument
what is moving the dial
yes but you can't see forces
so is gravity
so are all the forces you describe
@rightthehand wrong
@rightthehand no butting in until you correct your retardedness
@United Netherlands i can say the same about all the forces you talk about
thanks
@rightthehand lol so wrong
again and again goldfish
@rightthehand watch this. tell me the cause of the electrical force
crickets
now, a deflection is coming....... watch for it
@United Netherlands what makes a helium balloon go FORWARD when a car accelerates FORWARD
why does't it go backwards
@rightthehand your difference in pressure idea doesn't explain why a balloon goes up
only gravity explains taht
yep sure does
let's walk through it
with gravity, we'd get a pressure gradient
with a pressure gradient, you'd get a buoyant force
and if an object is less dense that the fluid, then the buoyant force exceeds the gravitational force
and it moves upwards
explains observations perfectly
@Citizen Z those examples don't factor in gravity, b/c at that scale it would confound the point
@Citizen Z oh i'd love to talk thermodynamics with you
lets start with this, do you know how many laws of thermo there are?
Oh he's right
all that is accurate
FOr what reason are you citing that
Funny how a helium balloon in the free-fall plane doesn't go up, it stays in one spot
@Citizen Z Why do you trust he's right though, I mean MIT profressors also talk about gravity
Feel free to tell me where they are wrong about gravity
@GandalfTheGreen you seem reasonable
lemme ask you something
@Citizen Z so why do you think its right? you cited it
ok cool
are those large enough to show the effect of gravity?
well a little bit it is...
but on a short object, the effect is small
wanna know how?
well first tell me what you're expecting to happen, which ISN'T happening, regarding this air rushing thing
well we can use science to determine which is righit
so can I
but i fear your conclusions are based on inaccurate understanding
ok lets explore that
isn't strong enough to do what
true, and i don't
so what isn't gravity strong enough to do
i think this is where you're misstepping
@Seeker of Truth why would it have to be that must flowrate from one tree?
got any math that suggests this?
perhaps rate of consumption?
k
i'll take that as "don't know"
sounds like another unscientific claim
which is exactly your criticism of gravity. so that's a bit hypocritical
So i have a question for all flat earthers : how is it that maps based on a globe are accurate?
As in we can test them ourselves
k
back that claim up
b/c they sure do work when i need to go anywhere
