I'm a staunch pro life but I understand sometimes and a modern society you have to compromise. But the left in America has turned it into Pro Life vs Pro Abortion where abortion should be allowed upto birth (and maybe after) for any reason. Even in Europe, which the left loves to use as an example, many countries like France limit abortion to 12 week with others at least putting a cap at 18-24 weeks, which is really far along in my option considering modern medicine has had a baby born at 21 weeks and 5 days and survive.

I see a problem in that because it's logical to start at a local level and work your way up in government. It gives you experience and also let's people know your position and stances better, along if you follow through. I'd rather it be say 12 years in a position or maybe 12 years per level (local vs state vs federal). Sure, someone could loophole this by serving x years in x position and then changing titles but it would allow progression without letting people get to the top and getting corrupt there.

I never understood not all DMVs were absolutely terribly inefficient and lazy places till I went to the DMV in the rural town I'm going to for college and was able to at 10:30 get in and upgrade my driver's license to the star so you can continue to use it to fly and get in federal buildings but also get my concealed carry permit all in less then 30 minutes. When I told my father, he said it may be worth it for him to drive four and a half hours across the state just to go to the DMV here next time. 🤣

If you go to a public engineering dominated university, it's much more likely to not be overly woke. My undergrad university was Simi woke, particularly the gen eds, but the university I'm going for graduate school is rural and predominantly engineering or agriculture. Combined with the fact it's predominantly small town people and the fact it's the south, I've seen multiple people on campus with Trump and conservative YouTube apparel and we even had the NRA come on campus before.

New born babies are always in demand for adoption in the US, but even if one wasn't lined up, the child would always have the option to go into the states care. Most pregnancy crisis centers are equipped to handle the paperwork and walk the mother through what is needed to put the child up for adoption. They would also be able to make sure the mother gets the care she needs to keep the baby healthy till it's born.

I absolutely agree, the cost puts it out of range for many families who would otherwise be great parents and treat the kid with love. Just because you can't afford a $60k+ adoption fees in lump does not mean you do not make enough to take care of a child.

Well the government requires many things I have no say in. For instance, I was required to register for the draft when I turned 18 for no other reason then because I have an X and a Y chromosome.

@Wardog maybe I am misunderstanding you but I think it would be ever more traumatic if the government forced you to have an abortion even if you wanted to keep the child or had a family member willing to raise it. That kind of thing happens in some socialized healthcare counties where the government decides you are not fit to be a mother because say you have a mental problem and they force woman who get pregnant to have an abortion against their will.

Modern medicine has turned the pediatric cancer survival rate of 20% in 1962 when St. Jude Children's Research Hospital opened to over 80% now. One of the cancers had a survival rate if only 4% then but now has over 95% survival rate What other pediatric problems we currently call non vital or life destructive could one day be a thing of the past.
