well that's not the only reason male and female is useful. There are plenty of reasons to have it. with seahorses, males do the parenting and are relied upon for their strength and defensive abilities. With Lions, males are required to protect a pride, they do the marking as females aren't born with the glands necessary to mark territory. With some troops of monkeys, males are needed to care for children while the females go and find food. even in Fish, Cichlid males are needed to create the volcanic looking structures that the females use to lay eggs in because they don't have the muscular build to make it for themselves. female turtles are the only ones that are strong enough to drag themselves to land to lay eggs, female crocks are designed to be able to guard their nests without food for two months or so without dying.

believe it or not, male and female gender in mammals goes well beyond just for reproduction, evolution for a vast number of species has made it so that if one gender goes out, the other won't survive without it

it has to have no faulty wiring, it has to be clean, it has to have a garage, or whatever they think is considered safe

the male and female gender comes into play because males and females look at terriroty slightly differently but both in a beneficial way

men look for a house with all of the above criteria but, they also look at it from an emergency standpoint, if something were to happen, how fast could I get here, how fast could I leave, and how far could I get from the danger. Women look at it with the same mindset of emergency, but in terms of help. How fast can help get to us, how fast could family get here if I need them, how long would it be before help came? both are beneficial and both are needed outlooks

The welfare state started with altruistic views, people agreed to help others until they could get back on their feet and then they were cut off, now; that's not the case. People are forced to have their taxes pay for people that sit on welfare their whole lives. So people aren't doing it because they feel charitable, they are being forced to, which takes away the altruistic nature of it.

and there is such a thing as learned helplessness and it can start as early as the age of 2

There is a difference between helping and having a person rely on something

no, it doesn't the definition of the word is someone who willingly gives to another at a cost of some sort to them, for the benefit of the person they are helping

that is the definition of Altruism, to take away the act of doing so willingly takes away the altruistic nature of it

then it is the duty of the population to teach others to survive

what about cavemen and fire

one person had to learn it, had peopel surrounding his fire, so it taught thme to do it so that they would leave his cave, what of that then

it's like achild and learning to read, if you constantly come to the childs aid and read it to them, they will learn that you will do it for them, and then they don't bother learning, so when that child goes to school, suddenly they can't do anything at school, they can't read and thne it effects if they can write or not

the welfare system needs an overhaul, there are SO MANY people on it that know how to play the system now, and keep people who actually work and pay taxes, struggling to pay their own shit

so how in the hell is having people dependent on you for no reason other than they are lazy and are getting free money a selfless act

when you sit there and struggle to pay your bills and your rent and for your food and such, how is that selfless

it's not, that's being selfish

that's them sucking you dry of money that coudl go into your childrens' mouths as food, that can cover them as clothing, that can shelter them as a house

it's not altruistic, you can'r choosing to help them, you are being forced to give them your money while taking from your children's quality of life, as well as your own

who won't go out and work but would rather have children to get more welfare and get a bigger baby bonus

Jane Goodall talked about altrusim too with her group of Chimps that she was with, and what she was reffering to was the acts they preformed willingly to help another person in their group achieve something and then move on, such as helping a young chim make an instrument to get ants, and then left it at that.

I agree, curing cancer and such would be better, and a lot of the money that gets needlessly dumped into welfare could go towards that.

I'm not saying not to help anyone, I'm all for helping someoen who has had a horrid accident at work which has left them unable to work, I'm not for helping some lazy idiot who would rather claim he can't work and just suck me dry of my tax money.
